Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
Wow!! I took this to a potluck event--it was one of the first to go--the dressing is soooo good. I omitted eggs, and iceberg lettuce, just to keep things simple--and it tasted very good!

Old Fashioned Apple Cream Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
We thought this was very good!! I used a graham crust, and cut the lemon in half. I also used splenda and sugar free pudding, as well as low sugar jam. It ended up being a really good lower-sugar dessert.

Easy Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
My kids loved these!!! They are very sweet--a little much for me, but a fun little diversion from traditional lemon bars. I will definitely make these again as my kids went so nutty over them.

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
This is ultimate comfort food to me!! I was desperate to make this, but had no hashbrowns-so I crumbled up tater tots (yes, desperate, I know!) and it was still way yummy!

Chicken Pasta Salad II

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
I liked the Mayo-Itlaian dressing combo as well. I made the following changes and we were pleased with the results: swapped black olives for the green, swapped diced red pepper for the green, used purple onion, and swapped mozzarella for the cheddar, and cooked fresh chicken in place of canned--it made a yummy, and very beautiful, colorful salad!

Sensational Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2007
Very yummy!!!! Everyone loved these! I did not use the foil wrap method, we just let them heat through and melt the cheese (about 8 minutes on a baking sheet) then I broiled them a minute or so to brown the cheese!! Dipping sauce was wonderful!! Thank you!! My husband said "I hope you'll be making these again soon!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2005
we didn't love this as much as other oatmeal cookie recipes I have tried. They were quite crumbly. Not bad, but not GREAT!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2005
This was simple to prepare, and a very nice flavor. I didn't change much, except to add a little water to make them a bit "sloppier". I would definitely use this recipe again.

Very good sauce! Much better than the store bought and packaged sauce mixes! I didn't alter the recipe at all--very good!

Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2004
I love this!! We have made a lot of changes though for our family preferences. We use sausage, mozarella, and red pepper. Often, if I am in a hurry, I just buy pre-made pizza dough for the calzone, and it has turned out just fine. I appreciated the advice to use more ricotta cheese, I found this to be a good suggestion.

Sticks and Stones Candy Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2004
Very sweet treat!!! When I cut it apart to serve, there were a lot of crumbs and small chunks left behind in the pan--These are excellent as an ice cream topping or mixed into a shake! Yummy!

Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2004
Excellent recipe! Tried a version of this 6 years ago at a tea shop in England, and this recipe is pretty close! I made this for a large group and the pan was scraped clean!!! Not to mention all the recipe requests! I also used whipping cream for the sauce. Be sure to use REAL butter as this makes a huge difference--especially in the sauce! Thanks Maree
