Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
The pumpkin roll part was very moist and a little too sticky and next time I will sweeten the cream cheese filling a little more - but overall this was super yummy and I will make it again.

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
Delish! My "go to" recipe for banana cream pie. I've made it 4 times now and each was a delicious success. I too make it with the Nilla wafer crust and it tastes fabulous!

Asparagus Chicken Crepes

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
I thought this was a tasty meal. The crepes turned out wonderful. I followed this recipe as written, next time I will saute the asparagus first to soften them slightly (it was more crunchy then I would like) and be sure to used fresh chicken (I had used canned).

Lazy Lasagna I

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
Just as it says. Super simple and easy and it tasted really good considering the amount of effort in the prep. I followed the recipe exactly and I will make this again adding some more flavor/spices next time.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
I used 1 quart of homemade peach pie filling and used the topping in this recipe. Next time I'll put it in a 8x10 baking dish and double the crust. It was very doughy the first time so I'll reduce the oven temp and up the cooking time.

Easy Indian Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
I reduced butter to 1/2 c. and made the cream mixture as follows: 1 c. cream, 1 can evaporated milk, enough milk to add up to 3 cups. Upped the garam masala to 1-1/2 TBSP. Next time I'll add more chicken (2 chicken breasts wasn't enough for the amount of sauce). Delicious!!

Spanish Flan

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
This one didn't work out well for me. I tried three times, using several methods given by other reviewers, and none of them were what I was looking for.

Like others said it was a little sweet even though I only put in 1/4 cup sugar. Otherwise I thought it was very tasty.

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
Delicious. I followed the advice of others and put in 1/3 c. flour and 2/3 c. lemon juice. It can out perfect! MUCH better than the recipe I tried last night that was down right yucky. Mine came out of the pan without any problems and set up perfectly.

Vegetable Pot Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
I followed this recipe exactly and though this smelled good, it didn't taste very good. It was just ok. It created a lot of dirty dishes (pot, skillet, pie dish, bowl, cutting board, knife etc (which I don't appreciate) and I feel it wasn't worth the work.

Beef Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
This was a very yummy soup, although I think it was missing a spice to make it to that 5 star rating. It was missing something we couldn't put our finger on. I cooked it all day in the slow cooker and added the noodles at then end. My entire family enjoyed it - I served it with french bread and fresh grapes on the side.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2009
This tasted wonderful. My husband turned to me and said, "Honey, this is delicious fish" - and he can be a hard one to please. Even my 2 year old son ate his entire portion and asked for more "ish" I followed the suggestions of others and sauted the ingredients and then poured that over the fish. I cooked it for 20 min. at 375 degrees. This will now be part of our regular meal rotation.
