Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2015
"Killer over the top" was my husband's comment. I would give it a six if I could. I followed the recipe but followed some of the review suggestions. I doubled the sauce (thank goodness!!), used 1/2 c. brown sugar, and because I had so much sauce, I layered 1/2 of the sauce onto my foil-lined pan, put in the thighs, then poured the rest of the sauce over it. I don't like cleaning my brush. I cooked at 375 degrees, skin side up, for 30 minutes, turned it, cooked it 20 minutes skin side down, then turned it for 20 more minutes. It was beautiful!!!!! Thank you so much. ~ Linda

Easiest Eggplant

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2014
Yum! My husband and I are not eggplant fans, but I had one sitting around. I tweaked it a bit by using homemade ranch dressing instead of mayonnaise, and Italian seasoned bread crumbs with some Parmesan thrown in. I sprayed the foil with spray oil, and also sprayed the tops of the eggplant before turning it. We loved it!! Thanks Pauline!!

Warm Shrimp Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2014
Awesome! I used ingredients on hand which included canned medium shrimp, Marketside (Walmart brand) Balsamic vinaigrette on the cold ingredients, and for fun I peeled a small orange I had and added it to the sauteed shrimp/onion/garlic mixture I had going on the stove. I didn't have celery, but I added two boiled eggs; even let my husband boil the eggs. I will make this again in a heartbeat. Thanks Lizard!!

Juicy Butt Steaks

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2014
This was wonderful! I found two pork butt steaks in my freezer and looked about for recipes and tried this one. I'm not a big fan of cooking with ketchup, so I added about 1/2 cup of Yoshida's marinade to the ketchup and water just to give it a bit of zip. I served this with mashed potatoes, and we enjoyed very much!

Curried Salmon Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2013
This was wonderful! We had a guest who doesn't like canned salmon, so I used a can of chicken instead. Didn't have any yogurt so I used mayonaise and eliminated the olive oil. I also increased the amount of dressing and would increase it even more next time. I added a handful of dried cranberries, which gave it nice color and a bit more texture. I will make this again!!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2012
My family loved this! After reading the reviews, I decided to use a blender to beat the eggs, sugar, and butter 'til fluffy, then also used 1 tsp of both baking soda and baking powder.I didn't have sour cream but used plain yogurt. It was wonderful! My new favorite banana bread recipe.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
This was truly wonderful! It is light and rich at the same time. The only thing I added was about 1/2 teaspoon clove and a dash of powdered ginger. I think I used a bit more than 2 cups of zucchini because I didn't measure, just had the hubby grate a large zucchini. Thank you so much!!!

Quick and Easy Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
Very good, but a bit dry. Next time I will add cream of mushroom soup to the wet ingredients and add some moisture to the rice, perhaps putting another 8 ounces of mushrooms into the rice while preparing it.

Sweet Potato Gnocchi

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
My daughter and I made these one evening and had a great time! I microwaved one large yam for 15 minutes and the skin came right off. I left out the garlic because we wanted a sweeter gnocchi. They were wonderful!! They turned out much lighter than the regular potato ones we made before.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

This was incredible! I couldn't believe how tender and tasty they were. I didn't have rosemary, so I used dried Italian herbs, and the crowd loved it.

Wisconsin Bratwurst

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
Winner!! My family loves this. I use lots of onions but only two cans of beer with my one pound of butter. I also added whole peeled cloves of garlic, and my family "fought" over who got the cooked cloves. While the brats are on the BBQ, I turn up the sauce and reduce it as much as I have time for. I serve these with the Allrecipes "Tasty Buns." Yummm.

Stuffed Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2007
Wonderful! I used Stove Top cornbread stuffing mix, added sauted onion. I also added mild to the sour, plus just a dash of hot sauce. I cooked the chops until they were nearly done and the stuffing was a bit crispy before adding the soup mixture. We loved it!

Best Cheesecake on Earth

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2004
This truly lives up to its name. I am not a cheesecake fan, but my son found the recipe and made it. I now make this for every suitable occasion, and even when there is no occasion. This is the very best cheesecake I have ever tasted, and all of my family agree.
