Old-Fashioned Sea Foam Candy

I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a special knack to making this candy. I myself cannot make it. I've burn many batches. Now my husbands Aunt follows this recipe and makes the BEST seafoam. So I'm thinking its a candy not everone can master. Oh well.....I'll try try and try again. But this recipe does work...just not for me. :)

Christmas Pinwheel Cookies

I like to mess with the flavors according to the time of the year. During Christmas I like to do a Chocolate and Peppermint mix. Valentine's Day I like to do a Chocolate and Strawberry. You get the idea. Just use what flavoring you like for the "White" side of it or do a vanilla and an orange.....that is a orange cream twist. oh lala.......Great recipe. Thanks

Fast and Friendly Meatballs

great simple recipe. my kids loved them. I left the recipe the way it is for my kiddo's. but jazzed it up a bit for me. I used half hamburger and half sausage, added some fine diced onion and then mixed the breadcrumbs and egg. yummy. but either way. the recipe is very good and easy! Thanks a bunch

Kay's Shortbread

These are the shortbread cookies you'll want to make! yum! not overly sweet! when you go to mix the ingredients it will seem like a crust. but it all works out! place in your pan and press into the pan. be sure to cut them while they are hot! I chocolate dipped mine. oooooooooh la la! I'm going to serve them at a church tea party. this recipe is a keeper! I wish I could give it 20 stars! Thanks Kim!!!!!!!!!!

Chocolate Meringue Pie

The pie was very good but since I've worked in kitchens all my life I knew that this recipe needed some tweaking. when making the meringue the recipe doesn't specifically tell you how many egg whites. and two will hardly do the job if you like meringue. If I am going to go through the trouble of making this masterpiece I want it to be spectacular. so I used 5 egg whites. if you've never made anything with stiff egg whites. whip them like crazy. make sure they are stiff peaks, you should be able to turn the bowl upside down with out them so much as moving. The meringue will fail if you do not get the whites whipped correct. I did not have a problem with the filling it was very good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the issue of the egg whites. that was quite confusing in the recipe especially if someone has never made anything like this. These are fun pies to make! good luck and good eating!

S'more Brownies

Ok all, I found these to be yum yum yummy! but I am a sugar junky. I waited till the last 10 mins to put the topping on, also I used choc. chips. came out delish!!!!!!!! if you like chocolate this is for you!!!!

Baked Oatmeal II

My Dad had this at a little mom and pop restaurant, I kicked myself for not ordering it when our food came. so I came home and whipped up this recipe. Yummy! my 8 year old can't get enough of it. So today I'm going to make another batch and add apples and raisins. If your looking for a nice fall comfort food, this is it! it makes your house smell sooooooo good too! 2 thumbs up from this house! Thanks Lucy

Brownie Oat Cookies

after reading everyones review. I did a little tweaking myself. I added two whole eggs. granted its not as low fat then but it did give the batter the moistness it needed, and it did come out more like a brownie. I thought they tasted good and were very moist. be sure to let them cool for a few on the cookie sheet when they come out of the oven tho.

Beer Battered Chicken

I've used this recipe twice now..the first time I made it to the tee, and it was BLAH! The second time I made it, I followed everyones advice on putting season in the batter. I still thought it was BLAH. it does have good texture but tastes blah. I might have to stay with the good old Drakes mix from the store. sorry

Beef Tamales

Gloria I thank you and so does my family, this is something I've been dying to try to make. everyone said that they are hard to make. boy were they wrong!!! You spend more time waiting for the meat to cook or corn husks to soak. and the end result is fantastic! We spiced it up a bit. just because we are more "Tex-Mex". the hotter the better. I will make these again. I followed the recipe to the tee, with the exception of adding more hot spice's to the meat. very very very good and simple.

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

I am one to make desserts that can be a bit challenging, but have always made the good old stand by Toll House cookies. had them when I was a kid and prefer them as a adult. Just plain love them.

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Best Ever Pie Crust

I used this crust recipe again today and just have to again say.......THANK YOU!! I just love it and it tastes fantastic! very easy to make and I don't wait to chill it. just make sure you use plenty of flour when rolling it out.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

I dont care what anyone says...this recipe was soooo simple and easy and tasted fine. I was almost like a fairy came and made it for me! also if you bake your crust for 5 mins. then add your toppings, your pizzas freeze fantastic! I also found this recipe to make 2 pizza's too! excellent Jason! Thank you!
