Dawn's Candied Walnuts
I made these to go in a strawberry and spinach salad b/c I was tired of payin $3/.5 cups. I mixed walnuts and pecans to = 1lb so I wouldn't have to make a trip to the store. I didn't want to heat my house with the oven on, so I roasted them in a pan on the stove and added into the mixture and they were both done at the same time, just make sure to keep They are cooling on the table and I can't keep my kids out of them, hope I have some left for the salad tonight....... My candy themometer says soft boil is 240F.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread
Can you call bread beautiful? This was amazing.... I think my family is going to boycott eating fresh bananas so that they will get overly ripe so that I will have to make this again. I read the review and compromised on the mashed/chopped issue. I mashed 2 bananas, and quartered(lenghtwise) and finely chopped the last banana. I was out of sour cream, but somehow had cream, so I added vinegar to turn it into sour cream. I had some problems getting it out of the pan--I greased with butter.

Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting
This frosting was amazing, I used it on the best strawberry cake and frosting recipe. I put this frosting on the outside, and the strawberry frosting in between the layers and as a crumb coat. It was sooo yummy! Because I didn't use this frosting in between the layers I had some left over. So, I dipped fresh strawberries in this frosting and ate them. I think I must haven't eaten almost a quart of berries on my own (I didn't want to share this discovery with the rest of my family, shhh....). So, it makes a wonderful fruit dip.
