Chicken Pot Pie I

Everyone else seemed to love these but I myself wasn't a huge fan. They have to be served directly from the fridge because they are really gross if they get warm IMO.

Marbled Pumpkin Cheesecake

delish! I made this for Thanksgiving dessert and everyone loved it. I baked it at 300 for about 40 minutes, but I wish I had checked it a little sooner because I think it was done around 35 minutes. I used the pan of water trick and let it cool gradual (an hour in the open but turned off oven, an hour on the counter) but it still cracked a little :( I have yet to make a cheesecake that hasn't cracked.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

This is my go-to pizza crust recipe. I sub in whole wheat flour and it turns out really well. It's super quick and easy and I always have the ingredients in my cupboard. I keep pre-portioned pizza sauce in the freezer ready to go, so when I can't figure out what to make for dinner, this is usually it!

Butter Cake

I made this as cupcakes for a bake sale (2 batches made 24 cupcakes, baked for about 25 mins). I found you really have to watch how long you cook them, ake from the oven at golden yellow, don't let them brown at all. They sold out at the bake sale almost immediately and were absolutely delicious! Very buttery and moist. Expect a denser texture than with mixes or store bought cakes, that is just the way of scratch cakes. I don't understand where people are getting the cornbread impression... Apart from the yellow colour (thanks to the egg yolks) there was nothing cornbread about this cake.

These are very eggy in texture, sort of rubbery. And I agree with other reviewers, they are much too sweet for pancakes.

Berry Oatmeal Muffins

These are delicious! Although, I changed the recipe so much that I can't even be sure they could be considered the same :) I used 1 cup of oats and omitted the wheat germ, used raspberries instead of blueberries and sliced almonds instead of walnuts. Instead of vegetable oil I used 1/4 cup of olive oil and 1/4 cup of unsweetened organic applesauce. Oh, and I used whole wheat flour. Deeeeeelish!

Grandma Weld's Cookies

I omitted chilling the dough because I found it tough and crumbly to begin with. These cookies taste OK, but are nothing special. They also take FOREVER to bake (mine took almost 20 minutes!) and it was really hard to tell when they were cooked because they didn't brown up at all. I tried this recipe because my usual recipe contains brown sugar and I was all out.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

This was my first time oven-roasting a chicken and it came out beautifully. The onions were my favourite part, which is odd because I don't usually like onions at all. I rubbed olive oil and lemon juice under the skin of my bird and sprinkled crushed rosemary on top. Everyone loved it, and I will make it again!

Mild Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas

An EXCELLENT, flavorful recipe! I cant stand olives so I omitted them and replaced them with chopped red and green pepper. I think it spruced up the appearance a bit and it tasted great too! I also used light sour cream.
