Rachel's Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2013
The soup was tasty, but it was better before I added the heavy cream. Wish I wouldn't have added that. I thought it would give it even more flavor, but really it took away from the flavor. I will make this again, but will try it with half the butter, and probably no cream.

Okay, so I must admit I'm a cheese fanatic.....this soup was fantastic! But I added a jar of Ragu triple cheese, and it was even better!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
I think this is a little bland without some additional changes. Use Rotel instead of plain cans of tomatoes. Use HOT enchilada sauce, add 1 can of black beans, and add several dashes of hot sauce. I also added 8 freshly chopped jalapeno's (with seeds), which gave it an excellent zip! You can just put frozen chicken breasts into the crock pot and shred them later, as other's have suggested. Worked perfectly! Friends keep begging me to make this again and again!

Pretty good! Don't overcook it or the cheese won't be melty, it will be hard!

Delicious! Only think I did differently was marinated the salmon in a little lemon juice for about an hour before hand.

Puppy Chow II

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
Excellent starting point, thank you! I used 1/3rd corn chex, 1/3rd wheat chex, and 1/3rd mini pretzels. I also added 1/2 cup chocolate chips for total coverage. Let sit in fridge for 20 minutes or so before covering with powedered sugar (which I doubled for complete coverage). Finally, after coating, I placed on pan and put in freezer for 30 minutes before serving. This allowed for a wonderful non messy non sticky snack that my whole family loved!

This is amazingly wonderful salsa-the lime makes all the difference. Try it with the new lime tortilla chips that are out-it's excellent!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2004
As Chandler would say: "OH,MY,GOD" This recipe is great!!! I looked and looked at all the recipes for this dip and decided on this one (because of the reviews). My husband and I just finished it as a late night snack. (Okay, we didn't finish ALL of it, but close!) Anyway, here are my changes: Use fresh spinach (one bunch-cooked, then drained), mix everything together instead of layering, then after it's done cooking, sprinkle fresh parmesean cheese on top and put in the broiler for 10 additional minutes. Beautiful browned cheese on top comes out, and the whole dip is excellent! Thanks for the recipe!!!!!!!
