Allie's Delicious Baked Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2005
I tested this recipe today before making it for a dinner party this weekend and it was a big hit. I made a few changes by adding 1/2 brown sugar 1/2 white sugar, I also added some rum soaked golden raisins and some walnuts. I will definatley keep this recipe and make it again and again. Thank you so much for a wonderful treat.

BBQ Dry Rub

Reviewed: May 15, 2005
This was my first time grilling with a rub and I'm glad I tries this recipe. Steaks and chicken breasts were great. I did add garlic powder like someone suggested and I also added some chipotle powder because I liked the smokey, spicy kick it gave the meat. Thank you for the recipe I did make the whole batch, I used half and the other is in an air tight container because I'll be using it again soon.

Seared Tuna with Wasabi-Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
I made this recipe for dinner tonight and I read it wrong. I simmered 10oz of chicken stock with shallots and 1/4C of white white and the vinegar. Well I reduced it to only half, kept the shallots and added 2tbl of soy sauce, the wasabi and 1/2 stick of butter. It turned out delicious. My 14 yr old who doesn't like wasabi liked it very much. I think for our taste I would add more wasabi but over all it was delicious. I'll be using it often for other types of fish and for chicken.

Sunday Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2006
This recipe is great. I was making dinner rolls close to this recipe but mine called for milk and butter but I seem to like the water and oil better. It makes the rolls lighter. I will make them for Thanksgiving. Thanks!

Oven Fried Chicken IV

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
I tried this recipe last night for dinner and my family just didn't care for it. I did as others suggested by seasoning the sour cream and although it had good flavor, I ended up with one side of the chicken being mushy. I did cook chicken on a cooling rack so I don't know what went wrong.

Creamy Caramel Flan

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
I've been making flan for years and I wanted to try something new. I was not too happy with this variation, my flan was dense and a bit gritty. I'll stick to my orginal recipe.

Agedashi-esque Tofu

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
I had some dressing left over that consited of soy sauce, sesame oil, lime, cilantro, garlic and ginger. This was delicious on top of the tofu. The coating is crispy. The possibilities of the tofu cooked like this are endless. I will have to try it with sweet and sour.I will also cut it in strips and add ranch powder to cornstarch and make mock chicken fingers for my kids. Thank You

Parmesan Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2007
This soup was great. I did leave out most of the butter and all of the flour. I cooked the potatoes with the onion and spices and then added the broth. I added half of the milk and when potatos were done I pureed the soup with a hand blender and that made it creamy. My kids loved it. Thanks
