The Best Sweet and Sour Meatballs

I've never had sweet and sour meatballs that were this sweet. Will make again, but definitely using 1/2 cup brown sugar instead of full cup.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

These were so good. I think the melted butter makes the difference between this and my old recipe. Slightly crispy with a soft, fluffy interior. Very yummy.

It's more than a 'nice try'. If you look at the list of ingredients, it doesn't have a lot of spice. A pkg of taco seasoning goes a long way if that's what you're used to. Taste the meat mixture before you make the burrito's...add seasoning accordingly. This is a 15 minute recipe, it's not meant to be gourmet, but if you're looking for a quick, filling recipe, this is good. As the description says, it's a basic recipe. Jalapeno cheese, salsa, and sour cream make an excellent addition in my opinion.

Pumpkin Parfait

I made this for my hubby who is diabetic. I used 2 packages of Jello Sugar Free Cheesecake Flavored Pudding and used the entire 15 oz can of pumpkin and 12 oz can of evaporated milk instead of one cup of each. I also added an extra cup of milk. I don't have pumpkin pie spice so I used 2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg and 1/8 tsp allspice. This set up great and I didn't notice an after taste. Good stuff!

Beefy Lentil Vegetable Soup

I've never had lentils and wanted to try them. My very picky 14 year old son liked it. I like this even better than my usual chili recipe. I did use the spicy V-8 and added cumin and chili powder. About 1 tsp each and a few dashes of Tabasco because I like a spicy soup. One thing that my son didn't notice was the 2 cups of raw spinach I chopped and added. It was very good.

Chocolate-Filled Crinkles

If you're a chocoholic like 1/2 the people in my office, you'll love these. I made them for an office potluck and I feel they'll disappear quickly. The thing I like best is even though you have the extra step of making the filling, they were still very quick to make.

Baked Linguine with Meat Sauce

It was good, but I agree, too cream-cheesy. I'll make it again, but probably use a 3oz package of cream cheese and use low fat ricotta to lighten up the taste, otherwise it was too heavy.

Baked Potato Soup I

Really Good Soup. I garnished with shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon and green onions. It reminded me of the soup I get at Bennigan's. I microwaved the potatoes and used already prepared bacon to cut down on cooking time. It turned out terrific.

Arrabbiata Sauce

Wonderful recipe. It's got a great kick. So much better than just using a canned spagetti sauce. I used it along with the Braciola recipe submitted by Michele O. Excellent!!!!!!
