Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
WOW! Addictive! It's creamy, spicy, and to die for! I did double the jalapenos(I like spicy), and add a tsp of garlic powder, but frankly if I hadn't, it would have been just as grand. After eating some of it, I did end up mixing the Parmesan into the dip, rather than just leaving it on top, and it didn't ruin the texture at all. Try it for your next party, or just for your own family's enjoyment. A smaller crock-pot would work wonderful for this recipe if you want to keep it warm for your guests.

Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2011
Use this recipe, you will not be disappointed. I add a bit of liquid smoke to mine. Such a FAST bean soup, and the family loves it. I allow my beans to simmer for awhile so that the soup becomes thicker.

Cucumber Raita

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
Use Greek yogurt, for the end result is richer & far less watery. I also did not use the full amount of yogurt. What a wonderful, fresh tasting salad.

You will really enjoy these cookies. The texture is like cake and not crunchy or chewy. The spices are wonderful. I added a little more rasins then what the recipe called for. Try it!

Wilderness Place Lodge Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2004
A+++++ wow!!! These are amazing! Followed the recipe to a tee, and made sure to toast walnuts in a pan (dry) med heat for 2-3 minutes (cool completely), also let raisins sit in warm water for 5 minutes, then drained (to plump). I was generous on chocolate chips, walnuts, and coconut.Placed on very well greased pan in tablespoons and cooked for about 15-17 minutes. The best cookie I have had in a long time! Definitely worth trying!Make sure to half the recipe by typing in 30 servings at the bottom of page. It made about 4 dozen 3 inch cookies.

Ravishing Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2004
Great icing, but the rest is not a keeper. Good color, the flavor isnt good, and the cake is very heavy and dry. I read the other reviews that said it was dry and thought they just overcooked it. I realize now it is the recipe itself. Takes effort and time for a cake that isnt worth it. Try something else, but keep the icing portion.
