Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
TO DIE FOR! First time making pulled pork, I used tenderloin(long skinny kind) so I didnt have to deal with the fat..yes it may be a tiny bit drier to use in a crockpot but I really didnt notice or mind. It came out amazing! What happens is it will soak up the bbq sauce so make sure you account for that if you do use tenderloin. The fattier cuts prob wont soak it up as much. I did a dry rub of onion powder, s&p and let sit in freezer baggie in fridge all day. About 1030pm I cut each of the 2 tenderloins into sections so it would be easier to shred and wouldnt be long strings, jabbed them a few times w a knife and put into the cooker covered 3/4 of the way w A&W rootbeer turned on low. In the AM I drained, wiped down crock and let pork sit about 15 min before I shredded it, poured bottle of Sweet Baby Rays sweet n spicy (make sure to get this kind) and put whole thing cooker and all into fridge for the day. About noon I took it out, gave it a stir, this is when I noticed it sucked up most of the sauce so next time I will get bigger bottle..cooked on low for hour and half and OMG!!!! The flavor is just killer. It would be a tiny bit better only if it were a tad bit saucier but I did not feel like running out for more sauce.. other than that I would not change a thing! Def will make many more times thanks for the recipe..

Apple Pie I
I actually have a question about this recipe.. this would be the first pie Ive made.. I have apple pie spice can I use that in place of the cinnamon and nutmeg? If so Im not sure how much to use.. And someone told me if you use the premade pie crust you should bake the bottom crust a little first has anyone done it like that?
