Golly Gee Gluten-Free Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
Really, really tasty! We have been using another GF pancake recipe, but ran out of the potato starch it called for. So we tried this recipe and the family LOVED them! We had to make a few substitutions for things we were out of, but turned out YUMMY! We used Sorghum flour instead of amaranth, cornstarch instead of arrowroot, and white grape juice for apple juice. We had to add 1 1/2 cups rice milk and 1/2 cup water, because it was too dry with just the juice. This is a keeper. THANKS for the flavorful recipe!

Delicious Gluten-Free Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
I just have to say, this is our favorite pancake recipe, Gluten free or not! We make these every Saturday and my family looks forward to it. But I have changed the flour a little because of allergies. I used cornstarch instead of potato. Plus just for fun sometimes I mix it up with sorghum and buckwheat. My daughter said, "You make the best pancakes in the world!" Of course I take all the credit. LOL! This a great versatile recipe that turns out every time! THANK YOU!

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
The kids like the cookies, but these didn't turn out like I was expecting. I followed the recipe and the taste was okay, but not very flavorful. The texture was hard on the outside and sort of soft on the inside. I prefer the Crisco peanut butter cookie recipe. It has much more flavor.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
FANTASTIC! The taste is really YUMMY! I followed the recipe exactly, except I used unbleached white flour and added 1/4 cup ground flaxseed. It really is GOOD! I wonder if you could sour Soymilk instead of regular milk. (We have allergies in our family). I am not fond of vinegar, but it turned out amazing! Just wish the recipe would've gone farther. We may have to triple it next time!

Frozen Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake Squares

Reviewed: May 7, 2009
This recipe turned out so yummy! Much better than I had expected. I followed the recipe, but I had no heavy cream and couldn't get to the store. So I used half evaporated milk, 1/2 regular milk and 1 tbls butter, melted. I slowly added this to the creamed mixture and it still turned out WONDERFUL! I will use the heavy cream next time. As for the freezing time, I found if you freeze it uncovered it froze faster and more evenly. It was huge hit at our dinner party. We will be making this regularly!

Miracle Baking Powder Pie Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
I have never left a bad review, but this turned out not so great. It was definitely flakey, but it wouldn't hold together. I added more water and it turned out thick & hard. But that could have been my problem for altering the recipe. What REALLY bothered me was that with the salt and the baking powder it came out VERY salty. Far too much for a fruit pie. That is the reason for the 3 stars. It might work well for a meat pie. I will go back to a traditional crust.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
This is a yummy recipe. It's the crumb topping that makes this good otherwise the muffin wouldn't be sweet enough for our taste. I made them just as the recipe and the texture turned out perfect. I would definitely double or triple the recipe next time. There really isn't enough for trying one now and saving some for breakfast, for the whole family. Very nice recipe though.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
OH MY GOODNESS! This is the best banana bread I have ever had! It turned out perfect...perfect texture, height, soft but doesn't fall apart, and the taste, AMAZING! The only tiny thing is I only got three loaves out of it. Maybe my loaf pans are bigger than the others. But if that is the only drawback to this recipe, I will take it! I am SO GLAD I took the time to make this recipe!

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
Excellent bread! I followed the recipe exactly except I proofed the yeast before adding it to my machine. This recipe is really foolproof, it turned out great. Very nice top crust, and wonderful soft texture inside. I baked it in my bread machine on regular cycle, and turned out nice. But next time I may do the dough in the machine and bake it in my oven for a softer crust. My bread machine makes a too thick of a crust. I have solved the hard crust problem with putting the loaf in a plastic zip bag as soon as it comes out of the oven. The steam softens the crust and leaves the inside the same. Super yummy recipe!

Super Duper Zucchini Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
EXCELLENT! These are really tasty. We just finished making them and my family is WOWED! We did some of the adjustments from previous reviews and they turned out perfect. We added 1/8 cup more milk, used 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice, and 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown. Instead of so much baking powder we used 1 1/2 tsp powder and 1 1/2 soda. To lessen the "baking powder" taste. The are moist, light and full of flavor! This recipe is a keeper!

Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2007
Excellent texture and is definitely chewy, but as others stated a little bland. Not sure how to fix it, maybe a 1/2 teaspoon of salt to counteract the sweetness and give it more interest. We added some chocolate cocoa powder and the kids loved it! Very good recipe, with the changes. I will most certainly make it again.

Chewiest Brownies

Reviewed: May 12, 2007
Fabulous! I just finished making them and my family couldn't wait for the 30 minute cool down. They loved it! For my own taste, I might cut the cocoa down to 3/4 cup, but that's all I would change. Unless I planned on serving it with vanilla ice cream, then I would leave it as is. This is definitely more like the brownies you would get in nicer restaurant, not the box kind. This is actually the first recipe that I have tried on this site that actually turned out! THANKS! It's a keeper!
