Banana Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
Yummy and moist. Out of a platter of homemade muffins, these were among the first to disappear.

Maple Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
Makes quick, easy, and cute cookies. They taste great too. My mom thought the maple flavouring was a bit too subtle at first, but the taste improved with time. A few days after baking, my dad was just inhaling them.

A little messy to cut into squares, but the taste is just amazing. Just like a Kit-Kat bar!

Chocolate Truffles

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
Very good. The hardened chocolate softens in your hands while rolling it into balls. This makes for easier coating (cocoa coating went on easiest). I made the rum variation. The rum flavouring was a little strong for my mom, but she said the truffles were still really good. Warning: Do no eat and drive.

Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
This is such an easy and great tasting fudge recipe. To make it easier, I lined the 8X8 dish with aluminum foil. That way, when the fugde has hardened, you can lift it straight up out of the baking dish, and makes for easier cutting. Also, be sure to press melted chocolate down in dish. My fudge came out with some air bubbles. Still tasted awesome though.

The dough was very easy to work with. The cutouts baked up great. Very soft, chewy, and yummy!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
I served this for dessert at my uncle's birthday party. Run a knife around the edge of the cake before cooling to avoid cracking. My cake, unfortunately, cracked severely, but I mended it by dolloping lots of Cool Whip over the splits (no one was more the wiser). Served with strawberries. Rich, but not too sweet, and very creamy. Everyone loved it.
