Good for You Greek Salad

Such a great blend of flavors in this Greek salad! Made according to the recipe, except I used jarred peppercini rings instead of black olives. As is, it makes a lovely side salad. To turn it into a delicious main dish: add cheese tortellini, feta, and "Greek Style Garlic Chicken". Top with Balsalmic Vinegarette. Healthy & delicious!

Grandma's Baking Powder Biscuits

Hmm I made these tonight and I'm a little undecided about them. They weren't bad, but I've had better. I wish they were a little more fluffy & moist. I made them for my parents, and they really liked them. I used butter in place of shortening. I did like the convenience of not having to roll and cut them.

Best Brownies

I love this recipe. It's the perfect brownie to serve "a la mode". No need to alter the recipe in my opinion. So moist and fudgy! Has that perfect soft center with slightly crunchy top. Mmmm!

The Best Chicken Fried Steak

The 1st two that I fried were a disaster. Followed the recipe exactly, but coating came completely off in the pan. I searched the reviews frantically for help. Thank you EKERR19 for this recipe saving tip!: rub salt & pepper on the steaks before dredging. After dredging, let them sit for a couple of minutes on a wire rack before frying. The rest of the steaks came out beautifully using this tip. I fried in an electric skillet, 5 min per side, then transferred to a cast iron to make the gravy. Delicious, & so tender! Made it for my parents, & they loved it! Served with mashed potatoes & "Grandma's Baking Powder Biscuits". Success!

Sauteed Carrots and Leeks

This is really good! I made it according to recipe except I subbed sugar for splenda. My bf raved about it. It is definitely going to be my vegetable rotation. Thanks for the great recipe!
