The Best Chicken Fried Steak

The breading on these is wonderful, but the gravy is bland. I'll keep this as my go to breading, but I'll find a more flavorful gravy to pair it with.

Green Bean Bundles

These are wonderful! My husband said they were the best green beans he's ever eaten. Like others, I found that 10 smaller beans made the perfect bundle. Awesome!

Baked French Fries I

I had some of the same trouble as the other reviewers...these never got cripsy and didn't have a ton of flavor. The cooking time is WAY too long and makes for soggy fries!

Truly a great sauce. I omitted the ground beef, opting for all ground sausage. The longer it cooks, the better it gets.

Spicy Bean Salsa

This is great! I only give it four stars because when I make it again, I will make a few changes. I suggest partially draining the black-eyed peas and using only a half a cup of the Italian dressing, unless you like a very wet salsa.

Spicy Chicken Breasts

This was a nice and spicy recipe. I served the chicken over white rice, which served to tone down some of the kick. There was plenty of seasoning left over that I plan to use on grilled veggies.

These were simple and tasty potatoes, but I shied away from using all of the cayenne because it seemed like a lot. They were a little bland so I will use the full amount next time.

Herbed Corn

This was actually very good. A nice way to spruce up plain old corn. I used canned and didn't add all of the spices as it seemed to be a bit much. I think it might have been overpowering had I added the full amount, but as it was, it was very tasty.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

I love it when a recipe allows you to say "I make a killer..." This was simple and delicious. I omitted the ham since I didn't have any, but I topped the soup with shredded cheddar and crisp bacon crumbles. I can now say, "I make a killer potato soup!" AWESOME!

Bella's Rosemary Red Potatoes

These potatoes make a big impression on guests when I serve them. They are simple and tasty, but make a beautiful compliment to any main course. I do, however, always add extra salt since potatoes seem to be a bit bland without it.
