About this Cook
I'm a mom of two, and my husband and I were just granted guardianship of two little girls.
My favorite things to cook
Mexican food, Italian food, and barbecue!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving - big meal, lots of guests. Christmas - quiet, easy day, simple meal. New Years - cooked cabbage, black-eyed peas.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking for 300+ people at church (hamburgers and hot dogs) and also Italian food for 300 over two nights at church.
My cooking tragedies
Tamale pie dinner for a friend who was recovering from surgery. It was awful!

Slow Cooker Chicken Continental
My family (including out of town members) enjoyed this recipe. Next time I'll use a LOT less beef. Several did comment it tasted like Tuna! Easy, filling. We'll probably make it again.

Giovanna's Yummy Cheese Onions
I've made this twice. First time cooked onions as directed, and the whole thing was runny. Second time I put the onions in the crockpot overnight, drained them and then made the casserole and got rave reviews. Numerous people asked for the recipe. I'll definitely make again!
