Master Cookie Mix

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2013
Way too sweet. But I have to admit I am using Thai ingredients. There was no white sugar in store so had to use all brown sugar but I didn't pack it. Thai brown sugar is not as moist as US so doesn't pack as well. I added another 3 cups of flour to cut the sugar. It kept them from spreading too much also. I made choco chip, pepito, ginger and white choc, cranberry, ginger.

Crepes

Recipe comes out too thick. Thinned out with a little extra milk. Used with lemon curd and with either sweetened blended cottage cheese, strawberries, blueberries or chocolate sauce. But our favorite way is a sprinkle of sugar and lemon juice! They go down as fast as I can cook them.

This is an easy great tasting recipe. I used it inside crepes with either sweetened blended cottage cheese, strawberries, blueberries or chocolate sauce.

Cream Cheese Filled Pumpkin Muffins

Delicious. I also added scant 1/4 cup of sugar to cream cheese. Left out nuts but they prob would have been better with some texture and crunch. Will def make again.

Yummy Bok Choy Salad

The dressing was too salty and plain. Added some ginger and squeezed a lime in the dressing.

Extreme Crepes

Way too much sugar. Crepes should be plain, then the filling makes it dessert or main course.

Delicious but I did change a few things. 3 t BP sounded like too much so I added 2 and 1 t BS and 1 t vanilla. I also left out the cream cheese.

Fig and Goat Cheese Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
I wish it had the amount of figs in cup measurements as I have never used dried figs before and mine were quite small. I prob used 2x as many figs so there was more sauce.

Classic Texas Caviar

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
I live overseas and Wishbone is so terribly expensive and probably full of preservatives so I prefer to make the dressing myself. I pretty much followed the recipe except for using a different pepper as we also don't have jalapenos and it really hit the spot

Waldorf Goat Cheese Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
Salad was very good and yes it is all up to the dressing that you choose. Not quite sure why Waldorf is in the name as it has nothing to do with apples and celery.

Buttermilk Scones

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2006
I think there must be a misprint in this recipe 2 TABLESPOONS baking powder is way too much. I used 2 teaspoons and was very pleased. Scones are supposed to be bland but if you like a sweeter one add some sugar!
