Jeannie's Famous Potato Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2005
Kind of bland......I prefer my beef and potatoe moussaka recipe. Much tastier with different sauce layered in there. Will have to post it sometime....

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2004
Fast and easy recipe. I used 5 CLOVES of garlic for 6 breasts. I also used Italian flavored shake and bake for breadcrumbs. I sliced each breast diagonally in half to make a filet .

Corn Chowder II

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2004
This recipe was good but I made alot of changes to make this a full meal type chowder. First I fried a few slices of bacon with the onions. Then added a few more veggies. I added potatoe, carrot, celery. I didn't add the cheese to the chowder, I put it on the table for family to add to the top of thier chowder. Served this with a herty warm garlic, cheese, multigrain loaf and a salad of baby greens. Very tastey!

Baked Linguine with Meat Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2004
This was dilicous!! Whole family enjoyed it! However, I did add Italian seasoning to sauce, onion and some canned mushrooms. I subsituted Ricotta for the cream cheese..thought the cream cheese would be too rich.Omitted the green onion and topped with mozz cheese instead of cheddar.

Mapled Ham

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2004
As sujested by someone else, you should thicken sauce. Otherwise you are basting all the time with watery baste, also didn't want to waste the expensive maple syrup!!

Maple Roast Turkey

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2004
I'm sorry, I can only give this recipe 2 stars. My family likes the traditional taste of a roasted turkey. This turkey had too much of a lemon taste, the skin blackened quickly and was not crisp ( crispy skin a big hit in my family ) the only reason I gave this 2 stars is because the meat itself was very juicy and tender, but like I said, too much of a lemon flavour! I will stick to my family recipe and not use this again! SORRY !

Down Home Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2004
This is a very good mac n' cheese. You must eat it right away tho while it is still creamy. The macaroni soaks up the sauce if you let it sit. I made a few changes.....added a little extra velveeta, added onion powder and salt and pepper to the sauce and a sprinkling of cayanne to the bread crumb mixture. We had this with a garden salad and warm bread loaf. A nice fall meal.

Honey Garlic Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2004
Sorry, my family did not like this recipe very much. Too bland and dry. They all asked if I could just make the ribs that I usually make.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2004
Good recipe! Everyone loved it. Great blend of flavors! I used Italian flavored shake & bake for chicken mixed with freshly shredded parmesan , 2 LARGE cloves of garlic and 2 tlbs. of lemon juice with the butter. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because it had way too much butter!! I will only use half the amount next time! I had to drain alot out half way thru cooking. Easy recipe.
