Sausage Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2004
This is a great recipe! You can also use Mexican style processed cheese loaf and forego the tomatoes and onions, but either way my family loved this recipe. We served with Tostitos.

Kraft's Seven Layer Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2004
Great recipe! I used turkey bacon and light mayonnaise to lighten up the calories. (I really believe that in recipes like this, you can substitute turkey for bacon, light mayo for regular, etc.) Just a few things that can help.....then you can have more!

Pineapple Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2004
This cheese ball is a must try! BUT...make sure you add the 1 teaspoon of seasoning salt as Lynn suggests in her review. That makes the big difference in the bland taste that some of the other reviewers commented on! I love this recipe and have had it for years!!!

Oreo® Cookie Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2004
You can try different pudding mixes. We love Pistachio Instant Pudding the best. The contrasting colors are great, especially for Christmas, St. Patty's Day, etc. The only change I made was using only 1/2 cup of crushed oreos on top of the Cool Whip, instead of one cup as suggested by this recipe. My children and 7-year-old niece ask for this in lieu of a birthday cake every year!

Margaritas on the Rocks

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2005
Tonight I am making these for the third time for a party! These are great! My favorite at home recipe. I am somewhat of a margarita connoisseur (my favorite drink). I was wary because of the expense of Grand Marnier, but it was well worth the price and you don't use very much! By the end of the night, you will be standing on the counter dancing to Pee Wee Hermans version of "Tequila."

Best Spinach Dip Ever

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
This was absolutely wonderful. I don't usually like to make a lot of substitutions or additions to a new recipe, but I did use the whole package of spinach and also added a small bag of cooked and crumbled bacon just to stretch my dip a little. I also added a small jar of pimientos to add a little color (especially for Christmas). I brought it to a party, and got lots of great compliments. I served in a sour bread bowl with slices of sour dough bread on the side! Thanks very much for this great recipe!

Sausage Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2006
This is very similar to a recipe I have used from time to time. I have also substituted Rhode's frozen bread dough and have put in different toppings also to change it around a bit, from taco meat and cheddar cheese, onions and olives. Also, spaghetti sauce (very sparingly) with ground beef and mozzarella cheese!

Breakfast Sausage Roll

This is a great recipe which I have used for many years; only difference is I have used two cans of mushrooms instead of one---ooooh! Go for it. Get crazy!

Chicken Vicious

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2006
I prepared this last night and we loved it. I didn't feel at all that the vinegar overwhelmed the other flavors. I totally agree with you, tocoyote! If the recipe calls for an ingredient that you are not fond of, you probably won't like it!!!!!!

Scallop Blankets Appetizer

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2006
This is great and yummy, also! To save on calories and still enjoy the flavors (which I think blend wonderfully) I used pieces of turkey bacon. Regular bacon is more tasty, but I can then eat these little appetizers without much guilt! Thanks for this recipe!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2006
My family loved this baked ziti. I also added a package of pepperoni cut up and covered the dish with foil during most of the cooking time. Texture was perfect. Will next time try with ricotta cheese, but this was just great according to my two sons! Thank you for this recipe!

My mother was raised in Sweden and would fix these for us every Christmas. She would also leave the dough in the fridge for a day before cooking. These are great dunked in coffee and also milk!

Mushroom Saute

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2006
I think this is a great basic mushroom saute. Yes, it might be nothing special to some people, but we have to remember all the different types of cooks and bakers we have using this wonderful website. I wish that when I was a young wife just starting out (25 years ago), I would have had the opportunity to use the internet and allrecipes.com to help me with the basics of cooking! Oh yes, young husbands can benefit from this website also!

Cocktail Meatballs IV

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
I have been making these meatballs for many, many years. I believe I got the recipe from one of Betty Crocker's first cookbooks. I have made the meatballs from scratch and in a pinch have also used the frozen packaged kind. I do use a whole bottle of chili sauce and grape jelly and have not used the prepared mustard. YUM!

Yum, we loved! Per the poor review previously as one star, yes an 18-month-old baby may not like sage, thus his puckering. But my adult family and children 7 thru 24 loved! thanks for this great recipe!
