Clark Gable Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
Great pancake recipe! The only change I make is to add 2 T. sugar so the pancakes will get a nice golden brown color.

Easy Chocolate Ice Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
Love, love, love it!!! Soooo easy and soooo yummy! When I make this recipe I use the three ingredients but DO NOT follow the method. I mix everything up and pour it into my Deni ice cream maker...how easy is that? It always comes out wonderfully. My family loves it!

Grandma's Gingersnaps

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
This is a very good, simple ginger cookie. I used shortening instead of margarine and these turned out perfect for me. An extra special touch is to 'paint' each cookie with a glaze using a pastry brush. The glaze: powdered sugar, lemon extract and milk. Yum, yum!!!

Dessert Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
I love recipes that are simple, quick and delicious. These bars are perfect when you want an extra special bar cookie. When I made these I actually added an extra cup of butter for more richness, used seedless raspberry jam and baked them in a 12½ x 17-inch baking pan for about 40-45 minutes. I made them for our family Christmas party. They were a big hit as everyone loved them. My sister-in-law loved them so much she asked for the recipe. (She calls them 'The Big Booty Butter Bars'!) She made them for her family and to give away as treats to the neighbors. I will definitely make them again and I will use other fillings as suggested by another reviewer (although the raspberry jam is delightful!). Thanks for a great recipe!

Buttermilk Syrup

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2005
The BEST syrup--this has become my family's favorite! Love it on whole wheat pancakes, Belgian waffles, French toast, or anything you would put maple syrup on. I made it for a church breakfast and received many requests for the recipe!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2005
SCRUMPTIOUS!!! These cookies are delicious! I can't imagine why some cooks either have trouble with this recipe or do not like it. It makes a great chocolate chocolate chip cookie. I followed the directions, did not use a mixer as one reviewer suggested, and had no problems at all achieving great results. This recipe is added to my extensive chocolate collection!

Sandcastle Brownie Mix

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2005
I was given this recipe as a 'gift in a jar' for Christmas. When I made it today, I reduced the oil to 1/2 cup (could have used even less) and the oven temperature to 325º, because I was using a glass baking dish. I baked the brownies between 40-45 minutes before I felt they were "done." They still gave the appearance of being quite gooey and were greasy. The gift in a jar idea is great, but the recipe for the final product needs some adjusting.

Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2005
A very excellent chocolate buttercream frosting! I use Hershey's Hot Fudge Topping. You must use the thick fudge topping, not the chocolate syrup, in order to achieve the great frosting this recipe produces. This is now my favorite chocolate frosting!

Hot Fudge Sauce I

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2005
This is the best hot fudge sauce I have ever made! I didn't need to add the water. I have made it with both unsweetened and semi-sweet chocolate. Slightly different flavors--both excellent!
