American Lasagna

Why would anybody bother boiling noodles anymore when you can buy the oven ready and just layer them with the rest of the ingredients....omit the eggs and the sugar also that's not necessary either, your recipe is extra work for nothing. Strangest recipe I've seen for lasagna. Omit this stuff and it's as Italian as it can get except diced tomatoes should be replaced by sauce. Sorry didn't like it at all.

If you like a good spicy soup this is it. I somehow left out the hamburger when I made it and it was just great....just bought a small bottle of salsa and used the whole thing.....

Butter Brickle Frozen Delight

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
I started out to make it exactly as the recipe but found out I only had a small can of sweetened condensed milk so in view of the fact one reader had said it was a little soupy I only used it and cut back to 3/4 of a carton of cool whip. It turned out very well and sooo rich... I always print out the recipe I want and then copy some of the changes other have made on the side of the recipe for my own use if I want to make changes myself thus ending up changing it for lack of the ingredient...thanks it was great.

Baked Coconut Shrimp

Disappointing....cocoanut should be pulsed finer, it was too sweet and overtook the prawns. I have had cocoanut prawns in a high end restaurant and the cocoanut was very fine. The concept is good but it needs some tweaking.......sorry

I think these were just fine... they were a little dry but nothing a little more marge or butter wouldn't fix....my little puppy loved the one that fell on the floor and we both thought they were great..

Donut Muffins

Made the recipe exactly how it said and got 18 small ones, also 1/2 cup sugar is too much to dip them in, wasted at least 1/4 cup...taste like a cake donut hole..Used cinnamon in batter instead of nutmeg...Yep it is a keeper.

I eliminated that potato flakes and added a diced potato, BUT the cheese isn't a good idea, very messy, instead I would substitute Cheez Whiz instead next time....had some left over corn I added....and now it's a keeper. I also added a dash of pepper flakes....now it's a five!!!

Brazilian Coffee Cookies

3/4 cup sugar total is plenty, and it definitely needs more coffee, dissolve at least 3 tablespoons instant coffee in a little hot water so it mixes in better but leave out milk then.11 minutes baked is plenty for a nice cookie. If you leave them in a ball, dip then in sugar they will crack and they are even softer.

Just great! Didn't change a thing...Perfect for dietsrs, diabetics and weight watchers as it has your veggies, carbs, protein and fat. Husband suggested a touch of soya sauce instead of salt......very please. Make sure rice is warm as it absorbs the dressing better..........YES!!!

Vegetarian Sweet and Sour Meatballs

one of the best vegetarian meatballs recipes. Should line pan with tin foil and/or add a little more water to sauce. Also should remove meatballs right away as sauce hardens quickly.

Marinated Mushrooms II

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
Oh my gosh these are so good. For those of you that said it was too much vinegar you probably didn't simmer them long enough for the vinegar to simmer away. I doubled everything except the onions but I will make this next time we barbeque steak, wonderful side dish. Just happened to have mushrooms sitting in the fridge and didn't want them to spoil so I tried this recipe and am glad I did.

Herbed Dumplings

Best recipe ever. I added 3/4 tsp garlic powder, and 3/4 tsp parsley, 3/4 tsp oregano, 1 tsp sugar. and 1 more tablespoon of butter. It's absolutely the recipe I have been looking for. Hint: if your liquid isn't hot enough when you drop them in, they will not keep their shape as well and no peeking for 15 minutes!!

The cake itself was very very dry and even after coating the plums in brown sugar and 1/2 tsp of almond extract and serving it with ice cream, I feel this recipe was not something I would bother with again. Sorry!
