Chili Cheese Dip III

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2004
This was ok. I'll have to try with homemade chili though, the canned stuff just doesn't cut it.

China Lake Barbequed Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2004
This was excellent! My wife and I loved this recipe. I too added a dash of brown sugar in the mixture. This will become one of our standard meals for sure!

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2004
I'll preface this by saying -- I have never liked salmon. That said, my wife loves it. So I have been searching for a salmon recipe that would be ok for both of us. I made it last night and will definately make it again. I ended up leaving it in the mixture for 24 hours, not by design but because of weather. Even still it was very good. I've finally found a way to enjoy salmon....and my wife asked when we could have it again...so mission accomplished!

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2004
The flavor was ok, would have liked it to be a little stronger. The chicken was very dry though. Not sure why. I will make it again but probably add a few ingredients.

Baked Seafood Au Gratin

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2004
I made this tonight and it was good. It was a bit runny, so I may change the milk out based on other recommendations. Otherwise it was very delicious. Recommended for that seafood lover in the family.

Lobster de Jonghe

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2004
Made this tonight. Went over well with the wife. I cut the butter in half like people suggested but if I make again I would cut by 1/4th rather than 1/2. I will make again for sure.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2006
I thought this recipe was ok but it didn't wow me. Maybe a little more mustard or some dijon to give it a little more kick. Not bad...just not super for me.

Easy Ham and Cheese Appetizer Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2006
These were a hit with friends and family at a recent gathering. Even my 15 month old got a bite and signed for more. I think I may cut back on the onion next time as everyone commented on the onion be really strong (but it did not keep them from 2nds and thirds). Will def make again. I used deli ham and sliced my own cheese because I felt the shredded would be too messy.

Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2006
These were good, and everyone ate them, but not as creamy as I expected. I may try again with a little less chocolate or perhaps add some whipping cream. Rolling the truffles did make me consider going postal after 30 or so, it gets very tedious. So enlist some help.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2006
So easy....and so good. I make this when have the guys over for a game when I announce it is ready the savages come running. I of course already have my sandwich made to avoid the melee. Seriousy though...this stuff is good. Shredding is a little time consuming but not too bad. I use Sweet Baby Rays, one bottle in the mix and then another standing by for a little extra on the sandwich.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2006
It took me a long time to decide on making this recipe. I just couldn't believe that it would really be that good. Well folks....it is def worth making. Easy as can be and delicious. Only thing I did different was not add as much cheddar and I baked it for a short time rather than put it in a slow cooker. Though it tasted good on anything I dipped into it, my favorite was the Tostitos Gold chips which I also use for Chili. Celery was a close second.

Classic Spanish Sangria

Reviewed: May 14, 2006
My wife is a big fan of Sangria. Whenever we go to a restaurant that offers Sangria she has to try it. I made this for her and my mother as art of their Mother Day dinner I was preparing. I took the suggestion of many other reviewers and used Blackberry Merlot and half the amount of rum. They absolutely loved it. I had a glass myself and it was tasty. Will certainly make again.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: May 14, 2006
Was pretty good. Made for a family brunch and I thought it tasted a little too much like sour cream. Will make again, however may make a few adjustments.

Made this for a family brunch....big mistake. Now anytime we have a brunch I have to make the French Toast. They loved this recipe and there are never leftovers.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: May 14, 2006
These were ok. Made them for my SuperBowl party and while people liked them there were some leftover. For me this was bordering a 4 and a 5, but in the end I went with a 4 due to the prep time. Wrapping the bacon around each smokie was a bit time consuming. Worth trying if you like smokies.

Italian Style Pork Chops

This was average. May make again since it is all things I have around the house anyway, but the recipe itself did not blow anyone away.

Did not go over very well at our house. If I had paid for it at a restaurant I would not have been happy.

Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Reviewed: May 20, 2007
Simple but not sure why some of the steps are in there? Like many others I did the following. 1. Pasta and strain 2. Saute the garlic, butter and shrimp in a pan. 3. Season with salt, pepper, dash of cayenne, onion powder, parsley, orageno. 3. Toss in pasta. 4. Serve. No leftovers and everyone loved it.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
Followed the recipe exactly and turned out great! Will certainly experiment with this a bit. I personally like my wings hot, and these came out on the mild side. Taste was spot on though, and very easy.
