About this Cook
I love to cook and have been doing so ever since I was a child. I love different kinds of ethnic foods, Indian and Mexican being my favorite. I love impressing people with new recipes Ive found on here as well as through other sources. Someday I hope to master thai and chinese cooking, two of my other favorite types of food. In my recipe book "Its all about the Flavor".
My favorite things to cook
Indian and Mexican. I also love to bake but my waist is none to happy about that. If my spice cupboard is any indication... I have a passion for flavorful food- the more spice the better.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Finding new recipes and making them with my grandma. Thanks giving has always been a fun cooking experience for me, as I get to experiment with the bird. Last year there was an Italian theme going mm good. We are rethinking whether an Indian theme would be appropriate or not.
My cooking triumphs
When ever I make those around me happy with my cooking. I was once able to pull off a six course meal, but I was of no use to anybody for the next three days.
My cooking tragedies
Well, Lets just say one should always label their spice jars. Unfortunately, I did not do this and decided to tripple the recipe for Stollen(a german sweet bread). I ended up using fenugreek instead of Mace...oops. The sour in sourdough has nothing on the stollen I made that year. I make mistakes here and there, but pick my self up and try again (most likely with a new recipe).

Delicious Gluten-Free Pancakes
I have tried this recipe several times forgetting that each time the end result yields a watery substance. I think the original recipe might of been accurate but now it is anything but accurate. One cup of water, milk or buttermilk will suffice. I hope you read the bad reviews before wasting expensive ingredients.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins
These were out of this world! I added some lemon juice w/ lemon zest and made a streusel and lemon glaze topping- with the added lemon ingredients they were out of this universe!

Baked French Fries I
Good seasoning but the temperature is way off. Ive tried this several times forgetting each time about the results. I always manage to save them before they become completely charred. I would give it a 5 except I have yet to taste them without burnt edges.
