Sweet Party Mix

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2007
I made this for a birthday party as well and this mix was a huge hit! I added honey roasted peanuts, cashews, Cheerios, and M&M's--once it cooled enough. I also used a disposable roasting pan and sprayed olive oil on the wax paper like someone else suggested. Very easy clean up for me and oh-so-yummy!

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2007
I used only half a packet of Ranch omitted the olives and celery. I added diced red, green, orange, and yellow bell peppers as well as diced cucumbers and smoked turkey. I also used about 4 different kinds of tortillas. I made them the day before the birthday party and they were delicious and went over very well! I'm going to scale this recipe down so hubby and I have something great to snack on throughout the weekend.

Roaring Twenties Spice Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2007
Perfect amount of sweetness and the flavor is great! Hubby loved it and is hooked... I think the texture could use some help and I don't like how it falls apart so easily. Still, overall it is good and I will be making it again.

This was a great recipe- however, I had to cut down on the onion the second time I made it.

Pizza On The Grill I

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2006
Very easy to do and is so delicious! I make up a few batches of the dough and freeze them for later. This recipe is great for making taco pizza too. Just omit the basil and garlic and add taco seasoning. We've noticed that closing the lid on the grill helps the cheese to melt faster and saves us from burning our pizza or using the oven to melt the cheese. Everytime we've made it for someone new they look at us funny when we make the pizza on the grill but once they taste it they are hooked!

Bread Machine Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
I was making something else at the same time I was making these rolls and used all-purpose flour instead of bread flour. I thought for sure I had ruined them. To my surprise, they still turned out great! I will be making them again with the right type of flour this time and I'm sure they will be even better. Took another reviewers tip and made honey butter to go with them. Thank you so much for a recipe that will be used very frequently in our home!

Finnish Pulla

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
Thanks for the recipe! I had never had, or even heard of, cardamom before and now I am in love! : ) After reading the reviews of what other people had to say, I gave making this bread a shot. It took forever to make (I am just learning to make bread with yeast from scratch by hand), about 6 hours for me! After all of the work, I think it was more than worth it. I added raisins; I took about 1.5 cups of raisins, added enough water to cover them and simmered them on medium until most of the water was gone. Then I let them drain on a paper towel (all this to keep the bread from getting dry. I have done this to all of my quick breads that call for dried fruit and it works like a charm). I added them last. I made a chocolate sauce and a cream cheese glaze to go over a couple of the loaves. My favorite way is served cold with butter and a glass of orange juice. : ) Tip: I used parchment paper to keep the bottoms from sticking and burning. Also, I took others advice and baked at 350 F for 20-30 minutes. It turned out PERFECT! I can't thank you enough,Kim B.!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2005
We've used this recipe many times and have changed it up with different types of meat (chicken, beef),broth (veggie, chicken) and BBQ sauce (too many to list). EVERY time it has turned out perfect. If it isn't on the menu in our house, someone is craving it anyway. Note: It is easier to skip the baking and dutch oven part and just transfer the meat back to (clean) Crock Pot after shredding. Great original recipe and versatile as well! Love it KK!
