Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2014
I made this recipe on a stove top, and it turned out beautifully... with only a few changes. One time I made this, it turned out extremely lumpy, almost threw it. That was my fault. When making this recipe, remember to mix the cornstarch and cocoa into the sugar, and add to the milk slowly while whisking. Otherwise, it will be runny, and have hard lumps of cornstarch and cocoa. :( I love dark chocolate, but there was a bit too much chocolate for me. The second time I made this, I used less cocoa. (maybe around 1/4 cup) I loved it. Another change I made was to add a bit more sugar. (1/2 cup + 2 to 4 extra spoonfuls) Someone mentioned adding butter for the texture. I added 2 Tablespoons, and I loved the texture. It was smooth, and hardened into a sort of custard when cooled. 4 servings, what a joke! I ate half in one sitting. This stuff is good! This recipe turns out just like store bought pudding, except for a wonderful chocolate taste, and just a hint of sweetness. Only giving 4 stars because I happened to change the original so much...

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2013
I have to say, I saw the "most critical review" and I don't agree, although she does have a point. The dough is sticky, but if chilled enough, and rolled out on parchment paper, works fine. Also, in my experience, not all coookies need to brown to be cooked. I left mine in the oven until a bit golden only on the corners, and probably could have taken them out a bit sooner. This recipe is quite simple, and makes wonderful cookies that are just the right texture to decorate easily. (I like decorating cookies that are a bit caky)

Eggnog Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2013
I enjoyed this recipe. I made it in my blender, (It would be incredibly hard without) and I used low-fat cream cheese. It turned out a bit grainy, but with a good eggnog flavor. (I added about a tsp. of nutmeg and 1 cup eggnog. This is a really rich pie!!
