World's Best Lasagna
This the BEST lasagna I have EVER had. I followed some of the viewers recommendations and only used 1/2 T of salt, 1 T of sugar, left out the fennel seeds and used fresh basil. I did not cook the pasta and soaked them in hot water which worked perfectly. I did add 2 whole star anise and 1 vanilla bean pod. I know it sounds weird, but I watched a famous chef on tv add it to his homemade tomato sauce and I never make my sauce without it. It gives it a unique wonderful flavor that just dances in your mouth. I also put a few dashes of cayenne pepper for a small bite. I let it sit over night and baked it the next day. I now have requests to make it to all potlucks.
