Curry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
This was my first attempt at curry and this recipe is a great place to start - the flavour was excellent. I would say to make sure your water JUST covers your onions or you will end up with a very thin sauce. Also, I used 4T of hot curry paste and it was not very hot. May need more, or it could be I used too much water with my onions? I cooked this in a slow cooker with skinless chicken thighs and legs. Very easy.

Leftover Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2005
This was exactly what it said - a leftover casserole. Is was good, but not exactly exciting. It was very much like macaroni and cheese with ham and peas (the meat and veg I used). I did add some water to the sauce to thin it out to cook the pasta and I had to turn my oven up to 450 to getthe sauce hot enough to cook the raw pasta. But that worked well.

Antipasto Squares

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2005
Made these for a potluck - they were quite good. I served at room temperature and I wonder if they wouldn't be better hot.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2004
A very good recipe - I did change the crust to vanilla wafers rather than chocolate and I found it took longer than an hour to cook.

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2004
This was good, but I would make a couple changes. I agree with another reviewer that it needs to simmer closer to 2 hours to make the meat tender. Also, I used 2c of stock (that's what size I had) and it worked well since I simmered it longer. Next time I will dissolve the flour in the stock because it went lumpy added to the pot. My husband doesn't like wine flavour, so I didn't put it in at all. However, it was very flavourful and with this bit of "tweeking" I will definately make again.

Dash's Donair

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
These were very close to the donairs I'm used to, but it was quite dry. I used lean ground beef (the recipe doesn't specify), but next time I think I'll use medium or even regular and maybe not cook it as long.

These are good but I prefer margaritas that are not frozen.

Chuckwagon Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2004
This was very good and really easy. Like a number of the other reviewers, I couldn't find barbeque beans so I used regular baked beans and added a bit of barbeque sauce. Very hearty - good meal for a cold winters day.

Chinese Cabbage Salad I

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2004
This was really good and super easy. I have made other Chinese-style salads, but this one is the best I've tried. And last better too - the cabbage doesn't go soggy like lettuce does.

Amazing Chicken

I really thought this was good - and very quick and easy. I used Miracle Whip and bread crumbs mixed with a few cracker crumbs becuse it was all I had on hand. I will definately make this again.

Chicken Tetrazzini IV

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2004
This was great - good leftover too. I did add a clove of garlic to the butter when I was making the sauce. I also used milk, not cream - worked fine.

Cavatini II

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2004
This was quite good, but I think I would like it with all rigatoni noodles better - I wanted more substantial pasta - the macaroni was mushy. Also, I would cut back on the spagetti sauce - 32 oz is too much. The dish was "soupy".

Chocolate Zucchini Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2004
I thought this recipe was great - I followed it exactly except put 1/2tsp more baking soda as suggested in other reviews. I greased and floured the pans - didn't stick at all. Definately make this again.
