Chantal's New York Cheesecake

oh my goodness!!! WOW! This cheesecake is amazing! Better than specialty stores! I am not a fan of baked cheesecakes and my husband doesn't like cheesecake at all, but between dessert and going to bed last night we managed to eat 2/3 of it ourselves. Yes I had three pieces!!! It was creamy and light with amazing flavour. I used graham wafer crumbs and melted butter for the crust (too lazy to crush crackers) and I used a strawberry topping with shaved white and dark chocolate. My new "have to impress someone" dessert!!!!

Chocolate Covered Cherries

I have made this recipe a few times now - and it never, ever fails to impress. I don't care for cherries myself - so I've never tried them but you should see the reactions of my guests! They think I'm amazing! (and of course - It's rude to argue with your guests -ha). I've made these for in between the cupcakes on a "Wedding (cupcake)cake and also for some special anniversary and birthday celebrations around town. Last time I used real cherries (with pits) - and everyone still raved - but I have to admit it was a pain because I wa constanly telling people - Don't eat the pit! Anyways - A really beautiful and delicious recipe! I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Chicken Pot Pie VIII

Really really good chicken pie. - which is one of my favorite feel good meals. I use Grandma's secret pie crust recipe - off this site (because it's the only pie crust recipe I can make. I followed this recipe to the "T" except I didn't add mushrooms. It was really good!

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

This cookie is really missing flavour. Followed the recipe to the T and it is really lacking - something. Sorry gonna stick with the instant pudding cookie.

Dog Treats I

my dogs start to go bonkers when they smell this cooking in the oven. I've made these about 10 times. I am never careful with adding ingredients and they always turn out. I usually 4X this recipe and freeze them.

Strawberry Muffins

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars IV

WOW! These are exactly like peanut butter cups! Really easy to make and my whole family is addicted. The whole pan is gone now (after 1 1/2 days) and I'm making another tonight.

Cake Doughnuts

WOW! These are sooooo good!! Ten times better than any I have ever had - anywhere. I used the icing from the Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts recipe on this site. They stay warm for about 45 min, but even after they have cooled they are still amazing.

Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake

This was super good! Rich but not too bad - I put extra whipped cream on the top to offset the heaviness. It didn't really look too pretty though - the caramel layer didn't stiffen up as much as I had hoped - so it was running down the sides of the cake. But wow it tasted amazing!

Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookies

I suppose I'm the minority. After three full days of making scrumptious treats for Christmas, I had beautiful trays made up for my guests. I was really excited about these because there was a lengthy ( not hard) amount of preparation and to me they tasted not bad, (the middle makes the cookie- the cookie itself wasn't anything all too special)but most of them were left on the trays. I was disappointed.

Chocolate Rum Balls I

I personally never tried any of these, but my sister in law raved at our family gathering. I left them in the fridge for two weeks in a tightly sealed container. When I opened the lid the smell of rum filled the kitchen! My mother in law wouldn't try one because she was scared she'd be drunk after, regardless of my assurances that there wasn't that much rum in them. Bottom Line: Suppostedly really good - Very Rum Smelling.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

I really liked the cinnamon chips and thought they were a really goo idea for picnic's and such. The fruit salad was also really good. I wasn't too particular on the two together though. But everyone else seemed to like it.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

amazing! This is absolutely amazing soup! I doubled it for a huge town festival luncheon and it was completely gone 10 minutes into the lunch! All the other soups and chilis were not even touched! I really estimated all the veggies (added shredded carrot) and the ham. I also let it simmer for about 2 1/2 hours. Everone really should try this soup. It's too easy.

Strawberry Bread III

This is a pretty good loaf recipe. Really moist (which is a huge must for me) and nice flavor. I wish I could taste more strawberries in to though. Next time I may add a touch of strawberry jam to see if that does it. Otherwise.... really good!

Caramel Apple Pie II

Suppostedly this is great!!!! I made this pie and my ol' pumpkin for a large family get together. I guess us women didn't eat fast enough (we didn't shovel the food in our mouths), because the guys had every bit of this pie devoured before we got to the dessert table. They all raved and raved. I even heard a few of them tell their wives to GET the recipe from me.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Really good!! We are making a cheesecake "Cupcake" cake for a wedding next week. The bride went crazy for it. I used a graham wafer crust in texas muffin tins for about 30 min, other than that followed the directions exactly. Really great texture and flavor. I topped each with whipped cream, a dollop of the raspberry sauce and then shaved white chocolate.

Mini Cheesecakes I

Wow!! I made these as a trial for a wedding that wants cheesecake cupcakes. i didn't think the bride would be happy with my first attempt at the light cheesecake. I literally dumped all the ingredients in a bowl and whipped for 2 minutes. I then put the batter in Texas muffin sized tins on top of graham crusts. I had to cook for about 25 - 30 minutes (larger size). I topped some with whipped cream and choc. shavings, blueberry topping and even 2 tsp right out of the can of cherry pie filling. Everyone gushed. I had to try them - not heavy (big plus) light and creamy. The bride even asked if I could whip up another dozen to send to work with her hubby to get his and his co-workers reaction to them. These are so easy I had the ready in 35 minutes - she took them home warm. Bottom Line: Super easy, amazing taste, and it doesn't leave you feeling like you just ate the whole cheesecake rather than just one piece.

Grandma's Secret Pie Crust

I have been trying for about 15 years to make a decent looking pie crust that held together. This one works miracles. I am now the pie maker in my extended family. This is THE pie crust recipe no one can mess up.
