Homemade Mac and Cheese

Excellent, although I don't like Parm cheese so I don't use it. But I didn't even miss it. The thing about mac and cheese is that it is mac and cheese...simple... People expect it to be some way over the top recipe that explodes with this and that flavour, but it is simply a nice, heart warming, homey recipe that warms your tummy. Kudos for not adding so much stuff that it overwhelms the whole mac and cheese aspect!

Easy Indian Butter Chicken

Excellent! I also make a non Indian version since my husband does not like garam marsala. I simply omit the garam marsala and tandoori and and add paprika and tumeric instead. Works for him and he raves about it!

Chewy Strawberry Oatmeal Cookie Crumble

Very very sorry I tried these. Made them in a small cookie pan, took forever to cook since they were too thick I guess. Sorry but I just don't think this is good.

Sweeter Muffins

Very good, tried and true recipe that I use quite often! Not overly sweet at all and good basic recipe for additions. Sometimes I add 1/2 cup raspberry flavoured apple sauce instead of milk. Also have added choco chips, blueberries and crushed pineapple for different flavours. They are great with chili and corn chowder as well, with a little less sugar. Pretty much fool proof.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins

Excellent taste! I added 1 tsp vanilla extract and that was the only change/addition. Kids ate them in minutes and asked for more!

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Quite good and tasty! I have made this a few times and I have added other things to mix it up on occasion. Try sweeter peppers. Minced garlic - a couple of cloves or more depending on your taste. Red onion added is also tasty too. This is def worth a try!

Quick Asian Beef Noodle Soup

I make this when the rest of the family is having burgers since I don't like burgers lol! I have also made a variation by adding a handful of frozen veggies in or cooked fresh ones. Also I add garbanzo beans (chick peas) or mushrooms, water chestnuts and so on. It's endless what you can add to this to make it your own. Good dish!

Heavenly White Cake

Wow! It turned out perfectly! Taste is lovely as well. I added the 1/2 cup extra milk. I made 2 cakes, 1 with strawberry extract, and the first the merange didnt turn out but it didn't hamper the cake at all.

Ultimate Potato Soup

Great recipe, tastes very creamy and nice but just a suggestion - saute your onions and celery lightly in a little butter before putting them in with the potatoes. It will give the soup an even better flavour.

Over processed and salty taste, because of the noodle soup mix I imagine. I didn't like it much. Essentially it was home made rice a roni...with out the home made taste.

Ground Beef Curly Noodle

I had to laugh when I read the Poor White Trash review lol. I guess I am poor white trash then because my kids love the ramen noodles and they love hamburger! I've made this a few times for them and they seem to gobble it up! I sometimes add other veggies to it, like thinly sliced carrots, broccoli and even zucchini. At our house we call it "Yucky Noodles" and it looks yucky, bu they love it! Viva Poor White Trash recipes!

Easy Oatmeal Muffins

Very good basic oatmeal muffin. I use these with my own additions and they turn out well every time. I add cocoa or berries and sometimes coconut and nuts, depending on the preferred taste that day and all turn out well. I did change the bak time to 15 minutes as they don't take any longer. I honestly don't know how you can go wrong with this recipe.

Zucchini-Chocolate Chip Muffins

Very tasty! The first batch was made exactly as stated and were excellent. The second I was taking to a friends who has a daughter whom is allergic to citrus so I omitted the lemon and still they were just as good. A Very nice tasting and moist muffin. I recommend to all looking for a good recipe that can be adapted as well as left alone.

Fluffy Pancakes
