Amazing recipe! I made these for a friend's birthday and it was a total hit! People were addicted to my cookies. And these were health conscious, non sweet tooth kind of people I'm talking about. I was pleasantly surprised by all the hype these cookies were receiving.
Extremely soft but not in a chewy kind of texture. And not at all overly sweet like most cookies. I did make a couple substitutions. I used whole wheat flour instead of white flour and dark chocolate chips instead of the semi sweet. It turned out to be a perfect balance of bitter and sweet.
I dropped about 2 tablespoons of cookie dough on the cookie sheet for a smaller bite sized cookie, and I found them to be more ascetically appetizing. They didn't need to be spaced that far apart for baking which I liked since they didn't bake flat.
This is my new cookie go to recipe!
