Lion House Wassail

I made half a batch in my crockpot. I added burbon (Jim Beam) and it made a fantastic grownup drink at my holiday party. I'm finishing it up right now... =)

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Excellent quality, just not my taste. Edited 12/9/05 I tried it again, leaving out the paprika and it was fantastic! I'm glad I tied again. This is sure to become a staple in my house.

Chickpea and Couscous Delight

I thought this was very good - simple, easy to make, healthy...I don't like cucumbers, so I skipped them. Next time I will add something green or yellow (peppers?), it needed that visually. We will definitely make it again.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

My hubby said that of all my attempts at cooking (!), this was the best outcome. What do you mean "attempts"?!?I'm not a bad chef, but sometimes meals don't quite turn out. But this recipe is a real winner! He said this is his favorite meal now. It took longer than I usually like to spend on a meal, and it was VERY filling, so this will go on our "special treats" menu. I made it just like the recipe said to with the following modifications: I used low fat options where available, and added garlic like someone else suggested. Delish!

Chicken Tikka Masala

Very good! I'm no expert in Indian cuisine, but this was my favorite meal in college. No good Indian restaurants around here, so this is a great find. And it tastes a lot like I remember it. I made some changes however: I substituted unsweetened fat free condensed milk for the heavy cream and cut the fat WAY down. Then I haqd to add a little cornstarch to thinken it up. I also threw in a handful of white rasins like my old restaurant did. I also omitted the second instance of salt and it was still quite salty from the meat. Next time I will cut that part in half and add some to the sauce at the end if need be. Overall - great recipe!

Garlic Chicken And Grapes

maybe I did it wrong, but covering it while cooking made it quite juicy in the pan and made the grapes take on a weird flavor. But the sauce is good. Don't know if I'll make it again, but if I do, I'll do it with the grapes on the side.

Cocktail Meatballs I

Slow Cook Thai Chicken

Don't let the last 30 minutes turn into 45! It make the sauce too think. Otherwise, a very tast meal. Will definitely make again.
