Apple Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2013
This was delicious. I can't think of what could make it better. I did add a little salt and pepper to taste.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2013
My first loaf using my bread machine I followed the instructions exactly and got a horrible dense uneven loaf of bread. Went on-line the 2nd time around and found this completely different method and decided to give it a try. Much better! The third time I warmed the water to 115 degrees because it didn't "proof" as much as I thought it should and it turned out even better! Will absolutely use this method every time! Thank you!

Lemon Yogurt Muffins

Reviewed: May 3, 2013
I thought this recipe was delicious! Light and fluffy and moist. I followed the recipe exactly, only using a little more lemon juice because when I squeezed the lemon it made almost 2 TBS. I hope my kids like them, I'll be making them a lot!

Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2012
these are definitely more scone like. I agree they need more sugar and more milk to make them more like a fluffy muffin. Not much flavor like this.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: May 12, 2012
these muffins are amazing. When I mashed up 3 bananas I had a little more than a cup, but added it all in. Very moist.

Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2012
awesome. great call reserving the marinade and boiling it with a bit of cornstarch, it made the recipe perfect. Almost like a homemade hoisin sauce. This will be my go-to tenderloin marinade from now on. Thanks!

Fast Chicken Soup Base

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
This is amazing. I only added about 1/4 of a large onion, didn't have any thyme so I added a bay leaf. I also didn't bother sautéing the veggies. It was incredible.

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
I was very pleased with this recipe. In between cake like a fudgey with these changes. I used 1 1/4 cup flour, only 3 eggs, 2 tsp vanilla and 2/3 cup cocoa powder for more chocolatey flavor.

Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
This tastes very good, I've made it twice and the first time I used a loaf pan and the second time I cooked it in a 8x8 pan. I actually preferred it in the 8x8 pan, it tasted more moist and like cake.

Classic Pancakes

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
these pancakes are very good. I use half whole wheat flour. The only thing I noticed is because they are so delicate they are a little hard to flip. Next time I am going to try to replace applesauce for the oil. Thanks for the recipe!

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
This is wonderful!! I will never buy store bought again. I only gave it 4 stars b/c I cut back on the sugar and mustard as others suggested. I also cooked the carrots and diced them. I want to let it sit overnight, but I keep taking bites!

Land of Nod Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
Mine did not look like the picture at all. It rose way too high, and all the cinnamon sank to the bottom (which ended up being the top after you flipped it.) Then as it cooled it deflated. I layered sugar and butter on bottom, middle and top - so I'm not sure how I could do it different next time? Obviously I'll need to let it rise less. It was 12 hours by the time we got it in the oven. Hmmm, I really want to get this to work.

Boston Baked Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
These were wonderful! I also wanted to cook in the crock pot, so I soaked dried beans overnight for 8 hours, drained, then simmered in new water for 1 hour. Transferred beans to crock pot. Sauteed bacon and onion, chopped up the bacon and added it to the crock pot. Then I heated a double batch of the sauce on the stove and added it to the crock pot. I doubled everything but the salt, I used 3 tsp. Added a little bit of water, maybe 1/4- 1/2 cup and let it simmer on low for 9 hours. During cooking I added a little bit more ketchup, as I thought it was a little too sweet. next time I'll maybe subtract 1 TBS molasses and maybe a little brown sugar. My husband and even picky step daughter went back for seconds.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
these potatoes are awesome! So delicious! Per the suggestions below I also doubled the sauce and added more salt once they were cooked. Cooked for 60 minutes. I will be making these again and again. I think I told my husband 10 times how much I loved them.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2006
This recipe was wonderful. At first I thought they were too thin and not chewy enough for me, but the more I ate the more I enoyed the crispiness. I used butter instead of shirtening and added a little vanilla and dash of cinnamon/sugar. My oven tend to cook fast, so I only cooked for 12 minutes. My husband said they were the best cookies I ever made!

Beefy Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2006
We loved this meal. I too thought it was a littel bland, so I added worsteshire sauce and chili powder to taste. The rice cooked just fine in 1 cup water for me. My tomato sauce can was 8 oz, instead of 6. We also made Allrecipes Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread to go with it.
