My Aunt Dorie (who is 91) has a great recipe that we call "Dorie's Chocolate Dessert." My mother made it for every holiday meal. It is a pound of butter, 8 eggs, unsweetened chocolate, etc. It is not baked, and is the most rich pan of nonsense you've ever eaten Cheesecake! I love to make cheesecakes. I have discovered the secret to cheesecake - you don't really MAKE them; you BABYSIT them! Pecan pie! I cannot get a pecan pie to set. For years I thought it was my gas oven, but now I have electric and I still can't bake a pecan pie.
