I've never tried cooking a rib roast before, and had mentioned this to the butcher. To help me out, he inserted one of those pop-up timers in the roast. I followed the instructions exactly, and was rewarded with a juicy pink-in-the-middle roast that was incredible. I was worried when I finally removed the roast from the oven as the timer hadn't popped up. However, after tenting the roast with foil and letting it rest 20 minutes, when I uncovered it the timer had indeed popped up. I can't believe it came out so well, and that it was so incredibly easy! Mine was a 5lb roast with ribs attached, cooked uncovered. I'll definitely make this again.
