Coney Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2012
this was really easy and really good. I did add a beef broth cube and a bit more chili powder and some paprika to it, and then let it cook for almost two hours. only because in my head dinner was going to just take thirty minutes, but it ended up taking almost two hours. my dinner guest had requested chili dogs and he ate three of them so they must have been good!

Made these for a group. Everyone loved them. It was so easy and delicious. I dont know about the people who said it was dry. I added maybe a half cup of water because i was worried about it and it was nice and juicy.

Corn Dog Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
i made these for my halloween party and they were a huge hit. i was surprised because of all the fancy little things i made, everyone kept telling me how much they loved these muffins. i made them in a mini muffin pan and just diced up the hot dog and stirred it in, then set out little bowls of mustard and ketchup. everyone loved them.

Ho Ho Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
This cake was so tasty. I took it to a birthday party and got nothing but rave reviews. I read the other reviews and i decided to use a can of chocolate frosting microwaved for a few seconds, then i just poured it over the cake. that worked well. and i was concerned about the cream being gritty, so i poured in the milk while it was still slightly warm, but not hot enough to melt the butter and then beat it for 12 minutes and it turned out great. i just wanted to eat the whole bowl of it.

Pierogi Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2006
I cheated and used instant mashed potatoes, and i left out the bacon. And it was still delicous. I was telling my boyfriend that this recipe got good reviews and other people said that they were going to put it in their weekly rotation. Then i said that we didnt have a weekly rotation, but he said that we did, Pizza, macaroni and cheese, toast and cereal. So he said that it was a nice change. Will be making it again.

Delicious! I added just a bit of cinammon, and next time i think i will cut back on the sugar. But i know i will be making this again. The only problem was, was that it was really sweet, so i could only eat one serving. I would of like to of had more. What? Im doing weight watchers, it was Thanksgiving, i was trying to us all my extra points for the week.

Lemon Custard Filling

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
This recipe was not at all what i was looking for. i wanted something that was like the filling of a lemon doughnut. but this was not it. If you like the way cornstarch tastes. you will love this, because that is what it tastes like, with a lemon twang at the end.

Busy Day Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2005
this was fairly tasty. i used cream of mushroom and chicken. since the celery soup is kind of gross. but 1 1/2 hours was not long enough. the rice was still very crunchy. so i had to cook it another 30 minutes to get it done. and i dont understand why you did not just mix the onion soup in with everything else. i stirred it all together when it was done anyway. most likely will make it again. i really liked the rice.

Tropical Lime Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2005
this cake was pretty good. im not sure if it was something that i did or what, but as soon as i took it out of the oven the center caved in. and i didnt put the lime glaze on, instead i frosted it with cream cheese icing. and im glad i did, because trust me...it is sweet enough with out it. i made it for st.patricks day at work, so it worked well for that occasion. Everyone said that it was good, but it didnt get the rave reviews that my cakes in the past have recieved. i dont think i will make it again unless requested.

Marylou's Chicken El Toro

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2005
this was pretty good. it kind of just tasted like a chicken taco. i added some spices though, because other people had commented that it just tasted like chicken and picante sauce. but i thought that it was pretty tasty. it kind of took a long time to cook for the end result just to be alright. it wasnt nothing to write home about. i might make it again. i liked the fact that i had everything already to make it.

Smoked Beef Sausage and Potato Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2005
This was pretty tasty. Even though i did not follow the directions exactly. Maybe if i did it would of been better. But i used turkey sausage, because it taste the same is less greasy, and a lot less fattening. Also, i didnt put the vegetables in it, that part didnt sound good to me, but i did saute an onion with the sausage, and i used chicken broth, because that is what i had. It was a terrible color. It was okay though. I sprinkled some cajun seasoning in my bowl, and i thought that made it better. I have another recipe similar to this, but you use bacon, and sour cream, and cheese. I was hoping it was going to be as good as that one but it wasnt. I probably wont make this again.

Very, Very Tasty. I couldnt quit eating spoonfuls of this when i was icing the cake. But i am a lazy cook and i didnt want to whip the cream, so i used a tub of cool whip instead. it worked great. and it was easy to decorate with as well. my roses held up beautifully.
