About this Cook
I enjoy cooking for my husband, family members, and co-workers. I am now concentrating on healthier recipes because I have lost a lot of weight and I want to keep it off.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook just about everything. My husband is kind of picky, so I love finding new recipes that we both enjoy.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up eating everything made from scratch, so I'm not easily impressed. This is especially true when it comes to baked goods. My family still makes their own pie crust, etc. I don't make a lot of sweets, because I will eat too many of them.

Puppy Chow
Good recipe, but you need to add margarine or butter to help make the choc. the right texture. I don't know how you would get it to cover the rice cereal without it. Anyway, this was so good! Very addictive!

Cranberry Sauce Extraordinaire
This was fantastic! I took advice from other people to make a few changes. I added a can of mandarin oranges, a pinch of allspice and ginger, and ran it through a food processor when it was finished cooking. Rave reviews from entire family! (Including people who don't normally eat cranberries.) Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Enchilada Casserole II
I turned this recipe into a five star rating by making some changes. I left out the tom. paste, added corn, kidney beans, green chilis, and a packet of taco seasoning. I also put a little salsa on top. Very good! I also like the Burrito Pie recipe on this site.
