I own a bakery/cafe and am always looking for something new for our customers. Haven't been very happy with the cinnamon rolls we've had and have been looking for a replacement. THIS IS IT....amazing. Changes made: no changes in ingredients they're fine.... we don't use a bread machine so did the following...try it before you discard the idea...put all ingredients into your mixing bowl (flour, margarine,eggs, milk, salt, sugar AND YEAST) ... I don't know what bread machine yeast is but plain old yeast did it for me. Make sure you are using high gluten bread flour and also that your milk is hot enough. Mix until it comes together and then a minute more.
Follow the recipe and you'll be enjoying the best cinnamon buns in the world! For the filling I did try melting the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon as suggested..didn't spread as evenly as I had hoped but they were still great....I'll try using melted butter and sprinkling on the dry ingredients to see how that fares. Icing is, well, the icing on the cake. An absolutely wonderful recipe! Thanks Marsha!
