Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
This was great, however I did make a few changes. I omitted the cream of mushroom soup. Instead of salsa I used 2 cans of mild Rotel. One can I used all juices. The second can I drained most of the juices. Instead of using a chopped onion, I added Tastefully Simple's Onion Onion while the rice was cooking. Instead of boiling the chicken I pan fried it in a little bit of italian dressing. On one side of the chicken I put Tastefully Simple Seasoned Salt. On the other side of the chicken I used Tastefully Simple Fiesta Party Mix. I made this for a potluck and it was all gone. :)

Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2007
It was a very simple recipe. For the sauce, I used Irene's barbeque sauce. Pretty tasty. Loved how tender they were.

Candied Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2007
Deffinitely 5 stars all the way. I used 4 chicken breasts with the same amount of sauce. The chicken breasts were frozen so I cooked them in a pan for a bit, but did not bread them. I then put pinapple chunks on top of the chicken and let them bake along with the chicken. The whole family enjoyed. Thanks for the great recipe!!

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2007
This was really good. I used bone in thick center cut chops and it worked very well. I was worried my husband wouldn't like it because he isn't a big fan of soy sauce, but he also gave me rave reviews. Thanks for the great recipe!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2006
I have made these several times and everytime they turn out great. Make sure you line your pan with foil. If not, immediately after cooking soak your pan in hot soapy water. This is fabulous! It is a bit time consuming. Let me tell you though, well worth it. I did as another reviewer suggested and put brown sugar in a bag and coated several pieces of bacon and smokies at the same time. This seemed to coat it a lot better then just putting it on top. So, I used a lot more brown sugar than what it called for. I also used the little smokies with cheese in them. I was making them to take to a mom's group breakfast. I prepared them the night before and just put the pan in the frig and cooked them the next morn. I did have to go ahead and cook a few the night before, so I could taste test. My husband and I both loved them. He wanted me to bring any leftovers by his work. Too bad for him, there were no leftovers. All the Mom's loved them as well. Everyone wanted the recipe. Great Job!!!

Simple Sicilian Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
This was so simple to make. I used this when I wasn't able to eat any sugar or anything that broke down to sugar. My favorite dressing is ranch, but this was great for what I needed it for. Instead of using regular salt, I added garlic salt, but kept everything else the same. I've had dressing similiar to this in restaurants and I think they call it Balsamic vinegarette. It's probably about the same thing.

Mayonnaise Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2006
These were super easy to make. The consistency was a little weird before baking them, but they turned out just fine. I also added a little salt to the mixture and when they were finished baking I brushed them with melted butter. I had sausage and eggs and gravy with them one night for dinner. My husband must have enjoyed them, he had 4 in one sitting.

This was so simple and tasted great. The only thing I did differently was that I didn't let the spaghetti cool and I added a little more cheese.

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2005
This was the first time I have ate or made an enchilada. I think it turned out pretty good. When I was getting ready to add the sourcream, I saw that it had expired. So, instead I used mayo with a little bit of hidden valley ranch dry salad mix. Instead of using tomato sauce I used canned, diced tomatos. I didn't use green pepper because I don't like it. On the top I just added cheese, no taco sauce. I didn't take the time to cook it for the full 20 minutes, but I would suggest it so your filling is hotter.

Broccoli Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2005
This went over well with my family. I used cream of chicken soup, b/c I didn't have an cream of mushroom on hand. I also only used one can and it wasn't dry at all. I also cooked my chicken in a skillet and seasoned it. I then combined the soup, mayo, chicken and brocolli. After that I added some bacon bits, parm cheese, cheddar then breadcrumbs. My only problem was I should have cooked more.

Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2005
I didn't read any of the reviews (but I usually do) before making this marinade. It turned out great! I didn't use any parsley, b/c I didn't have any and I used only about a Tablespoon of lime juice instead of lemon juice(that's all I had). I let my chicken marinate overnight and this was some tasty chicken. A++ I only poured about half of it over the chicken. I put the other half in the refrigerator. I'm going to use it for steak or pork. I haven't deciced yet.

Manicotti II

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2004
This was my first time making and eating manicotti. It turned out great. My husband said it was the best he had ever had. I'm not a big ricotta cheese fan, so this was fantastic. At first I tried stuffing the mixture into the manicotti with a spoon. This didn't work very well, so I used my fingers. It worked much better! I must have stuffed my manicotti with too much filling because I didn't have enough filling for all 12.

Buffalo Chicken Wings I

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2004
I used frozen wings so it took a little longer to cook. After my chicken was cooking, I realized I was out of butter and margarine, so I used olive oil in place of butter. I mixed it in with the hot sauce and I couldn't tell any difference.
