Hearty Potato, Bacon and Onion Soup

I substituted chicken broth for the water, omitted the bouillon cube, and added a pinch of cayenne pepper and this was delicious. A great quick meal on a cold night.

Sarah's Savoury Bread and Cheese Pudding

Good base recipe. My family suggested adding onions, red peppers, and sausage or ham. I think I would also increase the egg/milk mixture by half next time. This was so dry we picked it up and ate it with our fingers.

Easy Beef Stroganoff

My 11 year old son made this for dinner and we loved it! He souped up the ground beef with some extra seasoning while he browned it and all the kids had seconds despite claiming to hate mushrooms and onions!

Chewy Granola Bars

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

I adjusted for high altitude and it turned out perfectly. Delicious with chili last night and then spread with molasses with breakfast. Thanks! My adjustments (6000 ft.): Decrease sugar 2 Tbsp.

Banana Banana Bread

WOW! This was a fantastic find. I didn't quite have enough bananas, so I used a can of pear slices (drained). The texture was wonderful, the bread wasn't too sweet and my husband was delighted to find it on the counter waiting for him. Thanks!

This was great! I was using up leftovers in the fridge and was out of capers and bread. Instead of the capers, so I used roasted red peppers instead, but it was delicious! I'm adding this to my list of quick lunches.

Easy Chicken Breast

The chicken was great the first night, but the leftovers were even better. I added a bag of frozen vegetables and two cups leftover cooked rice to make a great casserole. There was more than enough sauce to make a really creamy, delicious casserole. I'll keep this recipe close to hand.

Best Chicken Ever

This turned out wonderfully. I did add some spices to it, onion powder, paprika and chili powder, but my husbad has been raving about it and already wants me to serve it again. I also ran low on the breading mixture before I had all of my chicken ready, so I crushed and added a half a cup of stuffing mix I had in the cupboard. It tasted great!

Graham Cracker Crust I

Wonderfully simple! I used one package graham crackers and put them in a one gallon resealable plastic bag. A rolling pin [or large can of baked beans ;) ] gives quick cracker crumbs and the kids are eager to help. Then I added the sugar and butter to the bag, sealed it for a quick mix and pressed it into the pie shell. Done and only one dish to clean from melting the butter! :)

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

This turned out beautifully! I used 6 bone-in skinless chicken breasts and the meat simply fell off the bones. We made about 4 meals for our family of five out of the chicken. A wonderful recipe to keep around to cook the chicken to use as a base for other recipe. We had chicken breast with rice the first night and still had 4 breasts left. One breast went into a great chicken salad. I removed the bones and shredded the chicken breasts, keeping the sauce from the crock pot, added one can of cream of mushroom soup and one can of cream of chicken soup. This made a great chicken sloppy joe!! A real winner with the kids! :)
