Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2010
These were fabulous. I wasn't sure about the dough amount after reading the reviews but 1/2 in each cup was fine. The party I took these to had a vegetarian so next time I'll do all veggies. I'm sure it will still be great.

This is really delicious and refreshing. I used a ruby red grapefruit and it was superb. I'm going to try it as a compliment to fish or chicken from the grill. thanks for the recipie.

Slovak Stuffed Cabbage

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
No one in my family liked this. I usually like stuffed cabbage but I did not like the flavor of the sauerkraut and the bacon. I will not make this again.

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
This recipe is out of this world. I have used it twice for events and get rave reviews. The sauce is spectacular and so easy. I'm going to use it on other foods like chicken and ribs. All that and it is easy to do. I use a broiler pan so all the grease drips off and I do put them under the broiler to ensure crispness but do so with a careful eye.

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
I found that this recipe had too much cumin. It overpowered everything. My family loves chili but this did not go over well and everyone had tummy turbulence.

Garlic and Ranch Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
I didn't love the flavor. I thought the garlic ranch flavor was too strong. I won't make again.

Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
I loved the combo of the meat with the blue cheese topping. I didn't care for the port wine sauce. I would make the filet again with a glass of wine on the side.

Charleston Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
I just made this for a teacher breakfast and everyone loved it. I had requests for the recipe. I did let it sit over night and had to add additional eggs. It is a great basic recipe that you can easily modify with your favorite breakfast meats, veggies and cheeses. It's a keeper.

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
This was a great meal to get away from the hum drum meatball. My whole family liked it including the kids. I did double the sauce. The meatballs had a great texture and makes delicious leftovers.

Classic Fish and Chips

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
I am giving this a 3 only because I didn't really follow the recipe. I took one of the reviewers advice and used the fish taco batter to use on the fish and chips and it came out fabulous. My family ate 3 pounds of fish and would have eaten more if I had made it. Great advice.

Crab & Avocado Salad with Fruit Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
This is an awesome summer salad for a light dinner on a hot day. My husband that runs from anything healthy loves this. I did try it with imitation crab meat and it was still delicious. All the flavors go together very well.

Nobody in my family liked this smoothie. The OJ seemed to overpower the other flavors.

Maryland Crab Cakes III

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
I cup the mayo to 1/2 a cup and added 2 eggs. I also did only 1/2 cracker crumbs and half bread crumbs. They came out looking beautiful but were a bit bland. They need something to give it more flavor. My kids did not like it. Not sure I would make it again.

Southwest-Style Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
I took the suggestion many had about using egg roll wraps but I thought they were tasteless. I found the best thing was to use the large 12 inch wraps. They come in a varitey of flavors and I just microwaved them in the moist cloth and they were easy to use as well as tasty. Many people suggested Amy's Cilanto sauce with it. I hated that. It went straight from the blender to the garbage. I used a spicy duck sauce for dipping. They are time consuming to make but worth it.

This is one of my families new favorites. I do use light cream rather than heavy just cut down the fat. I also cut down the spice a little. It is delicious!

This was delicious! My kids hate my baking but loved this. I added a half a bag of chocolate chips and my son eats it for breakfast and dessert. I also used at least 4 very ripe bananas.

Phenomenal Chicken and Pasta in Creamy Pesto Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2006
My husband does not love pasta but loved this pasta dish. He actually asked for seconds. I did put the sundried tomatoes and pine nuts through through the blender with the pesto sauce ingredients.
