About this Cook
I love to cook. My mother was the greatest cooking teacher! I grew up with a "scratch" mom and have been trying to pass the tradition on to my own daughter.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy baking most. My favorite is my moms chocolate cake recipe, her apple pie and also a pudding dessert called Robert Redford.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband is wild about cooking chocolate pancakes for the kids. He makes them every holiday and serves them with lemons and powdered sugar. I make the dinner rolls and a pie for everyone.
My cooking triumphs
I made an Angel Food Waldorf Cake. My first on my own baking try when I was 10.
My cooking tragedies
My mom threw away the Waldorf cake. ( I guess it wasn't as good as I thought it should be:)

Carrot Cake III
Awesome Cake! I did as others suggested and used applesauce in place of some of the oil and it turned our moist, not too heavy, very flavorful. Frosting was a great compliment to the cake! Thanks for a great recipe

Easy Cream Cheese Danish
This is a great dish! I also cut the filling in half and it was plenty. I did find that adding pie filling caused the top to get a bit mushy but otherwise, my husband and I went through 2 pans of this in the last week:) Thank you!
