About this Cook
I have always loved to cook, since that first box of macaroni and cheese! I'm 16 now and entering my senior year of High School, and I plan to go to the Culinary Institute of America when I graduate. (college here I come!!)
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake (I have a small baking business that hasn't quite taken off the ground yet...), especially birthday cake. My family likes that too.. haha. But recently I've been cooking just about everything we have the ingredients on hand for. Try Taylor's Peroshkis they're so good! : ) Made those 2 days ago.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love learning to cook from my great grandma Dawson. She's an incredibly beautiful lady and a very talented cook. Her recipes are the most valued in my collection! Check out Grandma Dawson's Heavenly Fudge that will soon be on the site to try her wonderful cooking!
My cooking triumphs
I made a wedding cake!!! I couldn't believe I did it. My mom just recruited me to do that without letting me know (ahh!) and I had 2 days to do it and I got it done... praise the Lord!
My cooking tragedies
One time I quadrupled the banana bread recipe to make for my lovely teachers (I had made this recipe since I was 10 so it was no big deal)... to make 8 or so loaves of bread... and I forgot the sugar!!! Oh well, it did make a nice unsweet banana type bread but it was not what I was looking for! : )

Taylor's Piroshki
Oh my goodness these were INCREDIBLE! Thank you so much taylor's mommy! I just love ethnic food so this was a no brainer for me to try; only thing was my little sisters didn't like it. I don't know why! But I did so I'll make it whether they approve or not! Do take the advice of another member and roll them out thinly. I used wheat flour and they turned out a beautiful golden color.

Vanilla Milkshake IV
This gets a four because of the surprising yet ingenious ingredient of maple syrup which just makes the shake! But- beware it was very runny. I more than doubled the icecream and it was still runny. I also put peanut butter in it- mm mm good. It would get a 5 but it was runny...
