Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
WOW! This was absolutely awesome. My 2year old son, husband, and father-in-law loved this and that's rare in my house. I was so excited. This smelled wonderful as well. I did what others said to do...Used Kikkoman teriyaki baste & glaze (in the oriental section at the store), I mixed the ranch and teriyaki prior to brushing on the chicken. I used the jarred real bacon pieces and I put them and the cheese on 15 minutes before the chicken was done. I cut the chicken into smaller pieces and next time I will cut all of them into smaller pieces and make a little more sauce, maybe 2/3 cup of ranch and 2/3 cup of teriyaki sauce. WE ALL LOVED THIS STUFF=) THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE GREAT RECIPE=)

Double Chocolate Brownie Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2011
I was looking for a cake recipe that would go well with ice cream and hot fudge kind of like the hot fudge cake that a local restaurant serves. The brownie in the name got me. I didn't quite want a brownie, but didn't quite want a cake either. This worked out perfectly. I used milk chocolate chip instead of semi sweet because I really don't prefer the bitter taste of semi sweet chocolate. I served this fresh out of the oven and topped it with vanilla ice cream and then finished it off with the Hot Fudge Sauce recipe from this site. I highly recommend both recipes. I hope this helps:)

Dirt Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2005
GREAT RECIPE! TASTES LIKE A HUGE OREO COOKIE BUT BETTER. MAKE SURE THAT YOU PREPARE IT AT LEAST A FEW HOURS BEFORE YOU SERVE IT SO THAT THE CREAM HAS TIME TO THICKEN. IT IS SOOO GOOD AND VERY NEAT LOOKING =) THANK YOU FOR THIS GREAT RECIPE!

Jeff's Chili Con Queso

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2011
This queso recipe is just ok. I was hoping for something like Chili's Queso, but this one didn't really have much flavor or spice to it at all. I won't be making this again.

Tiramisu Bowl

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
I make this recipe just as stated, but I use french vanilla pudding and leave off the raspberries. It is one of our absolute favorites for sure! We really like that this is something different from the same old desserts;)

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
This was extremely easy and delicious. I won the candy portion of a contest at work with this one. Here is what I did...I doubled the recipe, used square pretzels and Rolo candies, topped with a pecan before baking for 3 minutes, smashed down gently as soon as I removed them from the oven and drizzled with white chocolate after they were cooled.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
This was really good. I followed the recipe exactly, but I poured some more wing sauce in the chicken after I drained all the sauce I had cooked it in. It was so tender and we just loved it. This is prepared in the same way as the Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue on this site, which we absolutely love too.

Tacos in Pasta Shells

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
This recipe was WONDERFUL! I only had 1Lb of ground beef, so I cooked it with the seasonings and it was wonderful. I will try using taco seasoning next time, just to test it out, but it is delicious just the way it is. I don't know if I wasn't putting enough meat in mine or not, but it took about 22 shells to use it all up, so make extra shells if you aren't completely loading the shells up=) THANKS SO MUCH FOR A WONDERFUL RECIPE! My hubby is so happy that we have another favorite, lol=)

Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
Delicious! It would have had more flavor if I had marinated it over night. I only did for 2 hours, but it was still awesome. I also used EVOO instead of the sesame oil, because the sesame oil was $11 and there wasn't that much of it in the recipe anyway. Thanks so much for an awesome recipe. This will be used in my home from now on=)

Caramel Pecan Pie

I dont care for pecan pie but my father-in-law does and I made this for him using chopped pecans instead of whole because they are easier to slice. He loved it. Thanks for a great recipe=)

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2005
Absolutely wonderful! I used 4 bags of microwave popcorn(2 bags of butter flavor and 2 bags of plain). It was all so good. I bake it in 2, 9x13" glass casserole dishes. It did stick very bad. Next time I will grease the pans. But it was still so good. My hubby loved it and he is VERY hard to impress. THANKS =)

Hot Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2011
This is a really good sauce. It doesn't quite seem like any hot fudge I've had before, but it's still very good. I used it on top of the Double Chocolate Brownie cake recipe from this site along with vanilla ice cream. I was trying to recreate a local restaurant's Hot Fudge cake and it actually turned out pretty good...not quite the same, but still good. I recommend this recipe as it is very easy to prepare.

Pepperoni Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
The flavor of this was just ok=( I don't know why we didn't like it. I did everything exactly like the recipe stated and still didn't have great results. The bread was over cooked on the outside and not done enough on the inside. It seamed like a lot of bread with little filling to me. I'm sorry, but I won't be making this one again=(

Southern Praline Pecan Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
OH MY! I'd give this 50 stars, if I could! This is so good. We are traveling to visit our friend who loves Praline candies, in a week. My praline candies didn't turn out so good when I tried to make them before, so I figured I'd give this a try. I made a "test" cake today and it was delicious! I am so happy with the result! I followed the recipe exactly and I used Betty Crocker butter pecan cake mix and Betty Crocker Coconut Pecan Icing. I can't wait to make it for our friend next week. I hope he loves it as much as we do! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
Thank you so much for this recipe. I did as others suggested and purchased a good-quality barbeque sauce. I also shredded the chicken about half way through. I've given this recipe to all of my co-workers because it is so easy and delicious! A couple of them have tried it and agreed! This will forever be a favorite in our house=) I'd give it 20 stars if I could!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2008
I made this for my son's 3rd birthday party this past weekend(for the adults) and I didn't even get to try it. I changed a couple of things, because I had it on hand. I used 2 cans of bean dip instead of the plain refried beans. Because of the bean dip, I just mixed the taco seasoning with the sour cream/cream cheese mixture. I was so busy with the party, but the guests said that it was really good. My husband said that the salsa was kind of watery. So, make sure that you drain it a little or get chunky salsa so that it won't be runny. Thanks for the recipe, and hopefully I'll get to try it next time I make it.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
Absolutely delicious. I did add extras. I used 5 cups of diced potatoes, 1 cup of finely chopped onions, and 4 chicken bouillon cubes. I didn't put ham or celery in mine because of personal preference and it was still excellent. My hubby just finished his and agreed, that it was excellent. We've tried many recipes lately that haven't been very tastey, so this was a pleasant surprise. Thank you so much=) This is a KEEPER=)

Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: May 19, 2007
I made this earlier today for my father-in-law, who loves coconut cake. He loved it. He said that the only thing he would change is the type of cake mix used, he said it was really great but would be even better with yellow cake mix. Also, I would mix the coconut with the whip cream before spreading on the cake. I didn't like the idea of just spreading the coconut on top. Everyone should try this recipe. It is good and pretty easy to make. Thanks for a great recipe =)

There was too much going on in these cookies. I thought they would be really good but they flattened out and didn't have a good taste. I won't be making these again but thanks anyway=)
