Garbanzo Bean Chocolate Cake (Gluten Free!)

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
Excellent!!!!!! Make it all the time! Once people have eaten it I tell them what it's made of, and they are shocked. I use 60% cacao instead (and i've made it once w/semi sweet - not as good).

Wonderful Waffles

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
I too wanted these to be out of this world during all the odd preparation. They were above good, but not excellent. You must add vanilla for flavor, I added about 1/2 t but next time will add more. They have an eggy flavor (which I loved), like pop-overs. mmm. With some tweaking of adding more flavor this recipe could be superb. Thanks for sharing it!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
Excellent!!! Only complaint was that there wasn't enough batter to put ontop, will double that part of the recipe next time. I too went easy on the sugar/cin last step. Mmmm, very good!!!

Jalapeno Strawberry Jam

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
I usually just make the Jalapeno jam w/cider vinegar... this was a great twist!!! I too used the seeds for an extra kick, and only 6 cups of sugar. Thanks for sharing! These will be great Christmas gifts! So pretty too.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2009
I guess I was hoping for an allstar cake after seeing all the 5 stars. The batter was sooo delicious we should have just eaten it raw. I had to bake for 1 hour 40 minutes in order to cook thoroughly, therefore the outside crust (that touched the pan) was burnt :(. Still warm, it tastes way too sugary...but the next day it is quite good. Perfect texture, husband loved it, daughter said it tasted like egg. If the whole crust could taste like the crunchy top (or really the bottom when taken out of the flute pan)it'd be fabulous. We had to eat cut off the crust. I added the extra vanilla. I will try to bake again reducing heat part way through, or bake in multiple loaf pan making cakes not too tall/thick to avoid burning.

Asparagus Chicken Crepes

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
I'd give this 10 stars!!! To save time (as this takes a while when making for 16 people) I used rotisery chickens from the deli. Followed the recipe to a T. I questioned the white sauce (cream and mayo) but this MADE the dish!!!! I was so upset that there weren't left overs. Even the kids (ages 5-14) went back for 2nds and 3rds.

Marinated Pork Loin

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2008
Very very moist. I made this for a huge family dinner and it was a hit. Was sweeter than I would have hoped but there were no complaints. Another user suggested using left overs for Pork Fried Rice - that would suit it perfectly (sweet taste).

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
Fabulous!!! Alterations: Had no bacon so I used left over Christmas Ham (seared on skillet & chopped), used Radiatore pasta (they're just too cute and ruffled not to), chopped the olives, and fresh ground black pepper instead of garlic pepper. WILL MAKE OVER AND OVER, thanks for sharing!

Funnel Cakes I

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
I added vanilla to the batter and next time will add a little sugar to the batter too. These were so great with powdered sugar and sliced strawberries atop. My girls and husband have conspired to eat these for every meal and change our name to the Funnel Family. Ha ha.

This is better than my mother inlaw's recipe and that says it all right there! I served over a big piece of corn bread. Yummy! Thank you sooo much for this simple recipe. P.S. my kids ate it too!

Bread Machine Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2004
AWESOME!!! I took the advice of another and used 3 tsps fresh minced garlic, 1 tsp of oregano and basil. This bread had plenty of flavor. It is very similar to the loaves of bread at the Macaroni Grill. Dipped it in olive oil and balsamic vinegar! A KEEPER. Great with pasta dishes.

Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2004
Absolutely Wonderful!!! Both my husband and I love this soup at the Olive Garden. This recipe tastes exactly like it if you add crushed red pepper while cooking the sausage. I like it a bit soupier so I used 3 cans of chicken broth plus 1 qt of water and 2 boullions cubes. Also used more heavy whipping cream. Gotta go, my next batch is almost ready.
