The Best Meatballs You'll Ever Have

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2004
These are awesome meatballs!!! My husband has had me make them 5 times in the last week. Instead of frying them....I place them on a broiler pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Then I broil them for 5 mintes, flip them and broil another 5 minutes. They are perfect!!! I hate meatballs, but the first time I made them my husband and I were fighting over the last few.....we eat them with nothing on them....we would not want to ruin a perfect flavor! Thanks for a great recipe! PS- I have tried them on the stove and I agree with the other posts...do these in the oven and you will not be sorry...this is the best...made them again tonight and did it all in the food processor I got for Mothers day....try them....they ROCK!!!

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2005
This is a WONDERFUL soup. I made a few changes: I used fresh broccili and boiled it in the chicken broth for 30 minutes, I used one large can (48oz) of chicken broth, I only used 1 lb of Velvetta. My husband thinks of this more as a broccili bisque, and my two toddlers LOVED it. It makes a lot, several full meals worth but it is so simple and SO VERY good....

Chile Garlic BBQ Salmon

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
Living in the Pacific NW, I don't like to add anything too fancy to salmon....my husband was worried that this dish would cover up the flavor of the salmon..and amazingly it enhanced the flavor of the salmon. This is a regular salmon dish in our family now...don't hesitate to try it if you love the real salmon flavor...this did NOT cover it up

Grill Dough

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2005
I would give this 10 stars if I could.....This was wonderful. We took the pizza dough, cooked it on both sides on low-medium on the grill, bring it inside, put on the toppings on broil it until the cheese bubbles. My husband and I will not ever eat any other pizza again we have decided!! It was SOOOOOO good!!!! The only difference that I did with the dough is adding 2 teaspoons of sugar...it gives it a slightly sweeter flavor, I suggest it highly!! If you want to try the best pizza in the world, MAKE THIS!!!

Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
I served this yesterday for a New Years celebration and all I got were rave reviews. I only did a few things different. I did a quick soak on the beans and did not pre-cook them. I just put two cups of the soaking liquid in the crockpot. I followed the other directions exactly other than that I added two whole jalepenos to it (seeds and all) to give it a slight heat in the back of your throat when you eat it...it was so mild that my norweigen in-laws couldn't really tell that I had added it. The beans came out darker colored (normal when making them in the crockpot) but the taste is out of this world!! You must try this recipe!!!

Slow-Cooked German Short Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2007
this was amazing. Served it over mashed potatos in a bowl and WOW.....my husband was a little leary of this saying it kind of tasted like sweet and sour until we put it over the mashed potatos and then even he ate a whole bowl of it....the only issue next time may be to leave out the vinegar....otherwise everyone thought this was wonderful and it is a new comfort food meal. As a note, I made with boneless short ribs and they kind of fell apart they were so tender, which was perfect over teh mashed potatos....reminds me of something you might get in a soul food restaurant down in the south, oddly....A must try!!! oh and have your butcher at your grocery store trim all the fat off of the short ribs ahead of time, takes them about a minute and cuts down on the fat...I had no fat buildup by doing this...they do it for free, you just have to ask!

Norwegian Pancakes - Pannekaken

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2005
thank you for posting this recipe. We make it for all special events (my husband is Norwegian). To make things easier, you can make up everything the night before and fridge it!! We serve ours the traditional way with butter and powered sugar. A recipe that everyone needs to try!!

Quick Berry Milkshake

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2005
This has now become a favorite in our family. My kids have it every morning with breakfast. I change up the fruit to whatever I have in the fridge. Today was banana/peach. We have had banana/blueberry and banana/blackberry. All are good. Try this a little thicker (we use vanilla yogurt) and serve it with a spoon. My kids and I both LOVE this.....also added a raw egg to add some protein. Thanks

Handsome Party Punch

Very good. Also put a lemon ice ring in it and it tasted good that way too. The sherbet melts funny on the top so after awhile don't forget to stir it once in awhile

It is probably my fault, but these turned out really greasy and chewy even when served 2 minutes after cooking.....maybe I should bake them after cooking them in the oil?? Suggestions???

This is the best sourdough starter I have ever tried. I have previously tried others on this site and they have never some out the way that I want them to. This one is so simple that my 7 and 8 year olds can feed it and make bread with it.
