Roast Leg of Lamb with Rosemary

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2005
Well I made this today for an easter celebration for family and it turned out very good....the flavorings were very tasty...problem with the whole meal is that it turns out that my husband, myself, and our two young children HATE lamb....oops...but everyone else thought that it was wonderful. I used my food processor to make the marinade and it came out very nicely with a little olive oil in the mix. Thank you even though we didn't like lamb

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2005
A bit too sweet for our tastes...I used a good balsamic vinegar and a good organic honey... it had a good flavor though...might make again...kids (2-1/2 and 1) LOVED it though... they split a T-bone steak between the two of them......

Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
these were awesome chicken nuggets. I decided to make them for my 2-1/2 yo daughter and 1 yo son. They have just eatten them up. I did several things different: added extra sesame seeds (toasted), added a crumbled ritz cracker or two (added a nice buttery flavor it was lacking), and I deep fried them. Oh my goodness.....my daughter loves McNuggets and she loved these....one suggestion, if you cut them into smaller pieces and deep fry them they come out like popcorn chicken!!

Southern Living Magazine's Chicken-Fried Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2005
I grew up in Texas and loved Chicken Fried Steak as a kid and although this tasted good my husband and I agree that the quality of the meat really makes a difference. The breading was awesome but....if you want beef...go out and spend the money to get a good tri-tip steak instead...not worth the money and time to spend to make ANY Chicken Fried Steaks.......will never make or eat again.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2005
wow.....this was great chili....I made it with leftover turkey from the holidays that I had cubed and frozen. I threw it all in the crockpot on high for about 5 hours. It was apsolutely wonderful. I did add extra jalapenos....and it was perfect hotness. I have a 1 year old son and a 2-1/2 year old daughter and they both LOVED it and could not seem to get enough. My husband also thought that it was the best white chili he has ever had (and his mom made a lot of it).....worth the try and you can crockpot it!!!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2005
My family, my neighbors, and everyone I have ever given these cookies to thinks that they are the tops!! They are a staple around our house because ginger aids in digestion. I double all of the spices (without doubling the recipe) and also add 2 tablespoons of grated (real) ginger in addition to the dry ginger. They are the greatest!! My kids won't stop eatting them and we have to make them at least twice a week!!

This was WAY TOO salty and the flavor was horrible...I will stick with the "all-purpose rub for meat" recipe I already got off this site!

Shrimp Bisque II

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2004
We are eatting this right now and we wish that we could give it more stars!! It is soooo smooth. My husband says he has never had anything like it...."a true culinary experience" is what he thinks!! Things I did differently: 1. Used cooking sherry and vermouth instead of sherry and brandy 2. used the crawfish stock that I made last night and did not cook the shrimp shells 3. doubled the hot pepper sauce and worcestershire sauce 4. used half and half!
