Spring Biscotti

These are AMAZING! Decided to try these to give as gifts for the holidays. Didn't use cranberries or pistachios, but instead used chopped almonds and coconut. I also used extra orange zest and the juice of one orange. As almost everyone receiving them is a tea drinker, these will be PERFECT!!

Aunt Edith's Baked Pancake

I have made this many times. It is one of my favorite go-to breakfast foods. I usually add a little brown sugar and vanilla. Today I added some frozen blueberries into the batter and we will be seeing how that turns out.

Peanut Butter Popcorn

This is my go-to snack for my family. My husband and kids LOVE it. I use less brown sugar and less marshmallows and LOTS of extra peanut butter. Since I air-pop, I add about 2 teaspoons of salt to the mix...otherwise it comes out tasting really bland. This time I also added a little vanilla extract to the mix...we will have to see how it comes out (it is currently baking) It also makes the house smell good when baking!

Sourdough Starter I

This is the best sourdough starter I have ever tried. I have previously tried others on this site and they have never some out the way that I want them to. This one is so simple that my 7 and 8 year olds can feed it and make bread with it.

Sourdough Bread I

This is an amazing bread. I highly suggest using Becky's sourdough starter that uses potato flakes to make this bread with. I have made plain bread, rolls, and cinnamon bread with it. I personally use the bread rising setting on my dehydrator and do a 4 hour rise the first time and a 2 hour rise the second time. I am currently making bread sticks with it. I have not let it rise overnight (too cold in my house) Oh Yummy!!!

Oven Brown Rice

this is my go-to vegetarian recipe. I use dehydrated carrots and mushrooms along with fresh onion and garlic. I also cook mine in the crockpot....it always took too long in the oven (longer than called for)

London Broil II

marinated this for 24 hours and then grilled it...it was wonderful! Make sure that you do teh scoring as it gets the flavor into teh meat

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Coming from the south, I am always on the hunt for the perfect biscuit recipe. And after making this one over 10 times...I can guarantee that it is at least perfect for me. It is light and fluffy. One thing I did differently, was I cut mine with a very sharp knife into squares instead of with a round cutter. I found that they rose up much higher that way.

Balsamic Dijon Dipping Sauce

Pretty good as a french fry dipping sauce. Even better as a steak marinade. Most recently, used as a marinade for pork chops that my husband did out on the grill. It was a flavor match that was WONDERFUL. My husband, who normally doesn't like pork, ate almost every bite and suggested that I make pork like that every time. I would highly suggest this as a marinade for steak and other meats...would not use it as a dipping sauce or on crackers though.

Peach Cobbler VI

I only had a small can of peaches, so I added a cup of dried cherries to it. I baked in a 8' round cake pan. It was fabulous! Making it a second time with 3 cups of fresh peaches that I cooked with a cup blueberries with some sugar and 1 Tablespoon cornstarch. I had so much fruit that I had to double the topping recipe (which BTW is divine) I got it all into the 9x12 this time and it is cooking now. I cannot wait for it to be done, as this is one of the simplest, yet best (and I come from the South originally). It is so good, I might let the kids have it for breakfast! :)

Buzzsaw's BBQ Sauce

made this to through in the crockpot with some country pork ribs. Did not add water or cornstarch due to this. One of the BEST BBQ sauces I have made. I will definately be putting this on chicken to put on the grill. Oh so good! Even my husband who doesn't like BBQ, really enjoyed this one. Replaced the vinegar with lemon juice but that is preference
