Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Blue Cheese-Chive Butter

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2009
Very tender result. However, I felt it lacked the "Wow!" factor.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
This was all right. I substituted real bacon for the bacon bits, but otherwise kept the recipe the same. We didn't care for the ranch in this recipe, so it may be worth making again and omitting that step. Thanks for sharing.

Big Al's Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
Delicious recipe! Two changes though: I used a teaspoon of salt instead of a tablespoon. Also, the recipe suggests using reserved marinade to flavor the cooked chicken - this is something I wouldn't suggest due to it containing raw eggs.

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
Good flavor, awful texture. If I make this again, I probably won't bake it...I'll just toss the warm cheese sauce with the noodles and serve it immediately.

The Best Clam Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
Very good, but it needs more seasoning...like basil for instance.

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

I didn't change a thing and it was one of the most delicious recipes I have ever made. Thank you so much for sharing.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
Delicious! A new spin on the everyday chicken dinner dish. I used 4 breasts in place of the 12 thighs, but kept the amount of the marinade the same. I also reserved half of the sauce for dipping purposes! Yummy!

Fruited Curry Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
Incredible. I eat this for lunch quite regularly. I make up a batch for 4 days at a time. The longer it sits in the fridge, the more the flavors meld together. Sooo good! The only change I make is substituting plain low-fat yogurt for the mayonnaise (just a taste/health preference).

Indonesian Satay

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
The peanut sauce didn't do it for me, but holy moly the chicken is incredible! I marinated it for an hour, and it was perfect. Next time, I will skip the sauce...there is more than enough flavor in the dish already.

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
A subtly flavored dish for beginning Indian palates. The flavors meld perfectly together. That being said, it just doesn't do it for me...but I can see how this dish would appeal to many people. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thai Grilled Chicken with Sweet Chile Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
The flavor of the chicken seemed to contrast with the flavor of the dipping sauce. I really did enjoy the dipping sauce though...

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
This is a really great lasagna. It did make a lot more sauce than what the instructions called for, so I think I will use 2 cup increments instead of the 1.5 listed. In the future, I will use more garlic and less salt. Otherwise perfect!

Simple Malaysian Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
Maybe I made this wrong? I followed the directions exactly, even marinaded the chicken a little longer, but it didn't yield a powerful flavor. In fact, my husband and I couldn't taste much of anything.

Grilled Turkey Tenderloins

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
My husband loved this, but I didn't care for it. The ginger was too overpowering. I'd like to make it again, using half the amount of ground ginger or try using freshly grated ginger instead to impart a smoother and lighter flavor. A good overall recipe -- plus it smells delicious when cooking!

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
The texture of the pie reminded me of cheesecake. I wish I could give this recipe 4.5 stars, because it is good. It's just a tad too sweet for me, and not as tangy as I like. Great recipe though!

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
I always read other's reviews...but 95% of the time when trying a new recipe, I follow the author's directions exactly as written. And I'm so glad I did. It is absolutely perfect and delicious as written. No less or extra of anything is necessary. It's deliciously tart and has perfect texture. My Floridian husband says it tastes just like home! :-)

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
I didn't change a single thing. This recipe is better than anything I've ever ordered in an Italian restaurant. The key to making this dish is using a high quality olive oil. I've slacked and used cheaper brands...and it shows itself in the taste. Absolutely delicious though.

Cajun Chicken

Amazing! I prepare this exactly as is, with the only except being that I marinate it for four or more hours. It's very tasty, with just the right amount of zing to it. Thanks!

Grilled Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
Just kind of "eh" for my husband and I. I'm thinking if I marinate for a few hours, that could yield a very powerful, flavorful chicken. Might be worth a try...

Jen's Heavenly Egg Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
YUM!!!!! My neighborhood deli makes this awesome egg salad sandwich that I have been obsessed with for years. This is the first egg salad recipe I have made that tastes just like it! The only changes I made were omitting the lemon juice (the tang of the dijon was just right for me) and adding finely chopped celery to it. Soooooo stinkin good! Thank you Jen!
