Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2013
My husband said it is a keeper. Every time we go out to eat and Chicken Parmasiano is on the menu he gets it. Because I never found a good recipe, until now. I love the idea given about how to flour the chicken. Good suggestion so flour is not wasted. I don't agree with the amount of Panko to use. I had a lot left over. I suggest using about 3/4 cup to 1 chicken breast. The chicken was moist and crunchy. The cheese was the right combination and amount. I will be passing this onto others I know that enjoy chicken. Yummy!!

Ricotta Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
First I want to say only use 4 eggs total, 3 in cake mix and 1 in ricotta mix. The owner of this recipe should make this more clear, the ricotta mixture ingredients do say "eggs". This cake us awesome. I altered none of the recipe. Why?

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2013
Did not have that mexican taste. Needs more spices, like cuman and red pepper flakes. It was very simple to make.

Creamy Orange Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2013
I substituted with sugar free pudding and sugar free jell-0. Although mine did not have the color this one has where the holes are, the cake was much more orange in color and flavor with the orange cake mix I used. I did not know this has been around for a long time. Used to be known as "Poke Cake".

Kansas City Style Pork Back Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2014
Always a hit with me and my husband. We have an Inferred Grill so it don't take nearly as long, so I will cook them in the oven for an hour before placing on the grill for 20-30 minutes. Then they won't burn.

Tex-Mex Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2013
I didn't change anything, but the next time I make it I will. I didn't notice any spice, so I will need yo kick it up. But not put in extra cilantro at the end. My husband was not to fond of it.

Chef John's Sausage & Shrimp Jambalaya

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2013
Next time I will cut back on the cumin and about a quarter cup of the broth. Other than that, it was easy and good. Much better and healthier than the box type.

Apple-Raisin Breakfast Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2013
Next time I will choose a different bread. The French bread was fine, just made it taste more like French Toast reversed a dessert.

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2013
Until I tried this recipe, I didn't think I could make a good bean/ham soup. I used vegetable broth instead of water to simmer the beans. Altough I did not keep the bone, as I should have, it was still very good. Don't put in more white pepper until after you taste it. I added about 1/4 tsp. after about 2 hours because I could not smell it, but it was there.

Zucchini and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2013
I cut the potatoes smaller than suggested, but should have cut the zucchini almost the same size as the potatoes. I don't know what exactly, but it needs more spices and less olive oil. I will try again with some tweeking.
