Mmmmm! I made this today for our church potluck tomorrow. I doubled the recipe, but I really didn't need to! I'm glad I did, because I am sitting here eating the extra. I gave it only four stars because I made a few changes. Instead of adding the shredded cheese to the macaroni, I made a roux of about 2 tbsp butter and flour, then added about 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of half and half. I let it thicken and added all the cheeses. After I removed it from the heat I added the sour cream. I mixed the noodles and cheese sauce in 2 9x13s, topped with the butter and PANKO breadcrumb mixture, and browned it in the top third of the oven for 10-15 minutes. The Panko makes all the difference-I love the extra crunch! I will definitely make this again-it will be replacing my family recipe in this house!
